I'd like to issue some challenges...and you can add on if you'd like...

For the good-looking/outgoing girls...make some shy guy's day! If you see a guy that appears to be shy...go up and dance with him...talk to him...let him take a picture with you...whatever. You'll be on his mind the rest of the day, and provide him with some good memories.

My favorite is when some dorky guy or girl can't dance, yet they think they're pro, go up and dance with them. This will make their day b/c they get someone to dance with them and you'll get a good laugh out of it!!! hahaha! :D

That's mean!

Here's another one...if you see a girl being heavily groped by a drunk guy...and she appears to not be enjoying herself...go save her. One of two things will happen:

a) Either the guy will walk away, and the girl will be grateful
b) The guy will want to fight (most likely, he'll be too drunk to care)

The way to do that and avoid the fight is to yell out a name and start talking to her like you have known her for years..

hey sexy man i did that last year she wasn't drunk but this thugged out kid was hasslein this little hottie so i said somethin to him we exchanged words and then i pushed him against the wall and told him to back off then when i went to move on when she grabbed me she was pretty greatful we ended up talkin, havin a few drinks, and hookin up she was realy cool so see guys bein a nice guy pays off sometimes

I saved this girl from this drunk guy a couple of years ago, and she rewarded me by paying for my drinks (coke's) all night...and by going to my place aftewards. :D

All of your reponses are great, but you have to notice that many of those responses don't help the shy people very much cause you guys still make fun of them or laugh at them.
You wanna make a real shy kid happy? Find a girl for him that will like him for who he is, and that will love his personality. Plus if there is a girl like that, the shy kid will feel so good about himself and won't have to worry about what other people think of him because he's got the support and the respect of that certain girl. Guys are all about the women, doesn't matter if you're the pimp, or the shy type, if you wanna help a friend out, introduce him to a girl that will dig him and that will like hangin' out with him. That is the real deal.
