I hate MLB.. Love College Baseball of course LSU is my team there.. I like Mississippi St Basketball. Saints season ticket holder here (aka sucker) and LSU football.. Gotta Love having that National Championship.. (You know the one we played by the rules to get.. unlike some other team) lol

I gotta give it up to my home teams...Milwaukee Brewers, Bucks...Green Bay Packers...Wisconsin Badgers....Marquette G. Eagles (when they aren't playing Wisconsin)...That's all I have to say! Even though the Brewers suck...I still have to stay with them. those are my teams!

I hope you don't think for a second that nothing happens at LSU Tigerman. Some schools, i.e. Alabama, are dumb enough to get caught. We don't have a bowl ban anymore so it's all good. Shula must be one hell of a recruiter too to get such a good class while being on probation. I like Alabama in any sport...I got to represent the college I go to right? I don't really have a favorite in any other sport, but I can watch football all day long.

You say LSU won the championship by "playing by the rules" ... so USC broke the rules by just beating up on everyone?

They are already adding another BCS bowl game in two years, and screwing with the BCS points after the not having the best two teams play for a championship.

I'm not a USC fan. In fact, my dad went to UCLA so I generally hate USC. And I give props to the SEC for being the dominant conference year in and year out.

But LSU Tigers ... you not only shared the championship, but it seems like just about everybody in the know thinks you were lucky not to face USC this last year. Take your share of the title and be happy football has no March Madness.

NFL: Been a Raiders fan for longer than most of you have been alive. Let me be the first to hope that Al Davis steps down soon, but ain't going ot happen. Al ... it's not 1984 anymore.

College Basketball and Football: I was born and raised in Oregon so Go Ducks. Or course ... no west coast team can excel in sports. Right? Not Stanford in basketball, or USC in football ... or even my Ducks who ended the football season ranked #2 just three years ago.

I live in Las Vegas now (past 11 years). UNLV played Wisconsin this past season, but mentioning that will get me death threats. From the team that lost 23-5. (Go look it up).

For real: I admire and respect the football tradion of the south. And the great traditions of many teams in the east and south. But it is a new world order in sports. Now just give us a football playoffs.

#97 here. Was a #2 fan for years, but Rubberhead is a hometown guy. #77, same thing. When Kyle Busch moves up to the Cup full time, there will be three guys born and raised in Las Vegas full time in the Cup. Damned if I know who I will root for then.

Best reasons to visit the south in the fall? College football and NASCAR both going at once ... it's almost like a religion. If you only hit PCB during Spring Break ... you are missing out.

USC DID NOT win the NC.. Here is why...

ALL the BCS schools agreed to a set of rules placed before them that EVERY team knew. One aspect of that was the the winner of the BCS title game was going to be played in NEW ORLEANS. In 1996 the ESPN Coaches Poll and the AP poll were decided BY the BCS teams to NO LONGER decide who the national champions were that these two polls would become apart of a system to decide who would play for that championship. ALL these school agreed to this INCLUDING USC. The AP poll is only 1/2 of 1/3rd of the current system. They can claim who they want as #1 just as each of the computer polls have been doing for years. But how many people claimed USC was the NC when Ohio State won it because they finished #1 in a few polls as well?

Here is a fact that is just plain SAD... USC was ranked #1 going into the last week ONLY because they lost a week before LSU did. The purpose of having the computers in the BCS was because of this EXACT fact.. That the human polls are flawed in the fact that they only slide teams rather than who is the best team. How many times does one team beat another team only to see the team they beat ranked higher??

If the media polls were acturate then WHY DIDNT LSU pass USC in that last week??

If USC beating #4 Michigan was such an accomplishment (which was the only decent team they beat)

WHY didnt LSU pass USC in the polls that last week?? USC beat Oregon St but gave up over 500 yards of offense! What did LSU do?? They only WHIPPED #4 Georgia in the GEORGIA DOME!

In the last 4 weeks of the season LSU only beat 4 top 30 teams (2 top 5 teams). The ONLY top 10 team USC played was Michigan 14 miles from home. Yet a team that had the 112th ranked pass defense in the nation (yet the media claimed they were the 3rd best defense) was still ranked #1?? Why surely having the media base of california and the fact that controversy sells newspapers has NOTHING to do with the reason they didnt move LSU ahead

However USC was a great team I will admit.. Im also not saying they broke the rules.. They just benifited from the media. Were they better than LSU? We will never know.. But they are simply NOT the official national champions of college football. GO ahead and go to ncaa.org's web page and try to order anything that says USC National Champions on it.. You wont find it.. USC never played for the NC so how can they be #1 in the BCS era? They are the media's favorites nothing else.

Also that extra bowl game has ZERO to do with the BCS problem of the past and more to do with an impending law suit by Cowen of Tulane against the Large conferences. As of now there has been NO changes that are a result of last year's NC game. Where is the outcry?

Its not a perfect system at all but it IS the current system and we play by those rules until they are changed.. You dont change the rules of the game in the middle or when they dont suit you.

You mean the same people that claimed NOBODY could beat OU??? The ones that said they were the greatest football team of all time?? I would loved to have seen LSU play USC.. LSU was the most underrated team ALL SEASON.. But of course the Auburn players and the Arizona players that went on the record and said LSU was the best team they played this year means ALOT less then "the people in the know"
