Just how long do these lines get at places like La Vela, Spinnakers, Sharkys, etc.? 10-15min.? 45m-1hr? What's the peak times for waits?

Also, do most clubs accept credit cards or is it cash only?

Does anyone have an opinion as to if the gold cards are worth it or not?

depending on what the clubs are charging this year for their gold cards, I'd say they are worth it if you plan to goto the clubs a few times.

a. you don't pay cover (although it may take a few nites to break even on the cost of the card)
b. you don't stand in those long assed lines! (that's worth a few extra bucks if you ask me -- and you did! ;)
c. the gold cards are always good for you and a guest if I remember correctly (I think this is right). (this could be a great deal if you see someone you really like standing in line, pluck them out of line and let them head in with ya!)

just some food for thought -- I guess it depends on the cost, but I believe you can break even in a few nites -- plus the other perks.

as far as cash or CC goes -- cash is certainly faster and safer -- in order to use CC sometimes you have to "start a tab". I don't like doing that in a crowded *** bar, who knows what ends up on your tab if you've got a bunch of ppl around.
