Hotel bands/ID's!!! How do I get in!?!

You've been to Panama City Beach and you partied 'til you dropped at some of the best hotels: Holiday Inn Sunspree, the Edgewater Resort, the Boardwalk! So tell me what I need. I need someone to give me the mission debriefing!

This is Bond, Partyboy Bond! I can sneak into any environment. I just need to know the color of the bands and what they look like. I'm not a free-loader. The Holiday Inn is fully booked. Can I participate in the events on the beach (basketball, obsticle courses, etc) put on by the Holiday Inn w/o a band? What about the Boardwalk? Can I purchase a visitors pass?

Holiday Inn Sunspree security

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree last week. It's freakin Fort Knox security up in there. We had blue sparkly wrist bands that say Holiday Inn. The week before had pink sparkly ones. They check them at the front door and between the beach and the pool. They check the little clip to make sure they're real and tug on them. It's seriously impossible to get in without one. You can pay $20 for a guest bracelt for one night, if you can find someone to be a guest of. Those bracelet colors vary by day. You CAN be on the beach and participate in all the contests and games and stuff without a wristband. It's definitely the best beach to party at!

Hope that helped!

Boardwalk has **** for security. Its a black band. You can go on the beach and participate in the stuff np.

Boardwalk was definetly a dump for all the hype going on about it.

if you are above 21 its a redband at the boardwalk and black if under 21. You can be on hotel grounds till 10pm as a visitor without a pass. You can do all the stuff on the beach near the hotel. But security does ask people if they have bands or not in large groups. Usually the parties are by the pools or in the pavallion. Enter at your own risk

I would def agree though for all the costs and hype for the boardwalk I was pretty disappointed and deflated over what I actually was dealing with. Its actually kinda dumpy and lame. But maybe that's just me.

So what were ya'll expecting??? I don't know what ya'll were asking for. There was always alot of ppl, alot of stuff to do around that area, the clubs, contests, and concerts were within walking distance, the rooms had great views and were livable, rates were dropped like three times, and most importantly the security was great cause there was none basicly..if u weren't making a big scene. Wristbands weren't a big deal. I went to other hotels and wanted to leave asap...or plain got kicked out cause they were a**holes and there was nothing going on. So what would've made it better for ya'll, another city?? I'm saying this in more of a confused way, not with an attitude. K ya'll. Maybe explain a little. I know one thing was the cancelled Juvenile concert. some ppl didn't care though. But o'well.

The Summitt security were Nazis with the wristbands (which we expected though). However, one way to get around it is to take one of the shuttle buses into the hotel area. Even with just a regular taxi, the security wanted to see everyone's wristbands before opening the gates. However, they just let the bus through if the driver said they were dropping someone off.

Hey morgan

How was the Summit? Im staying there next week. I heard that the security were real jerks as well. Is the parking gated or something? I know I was worried about parking my car there but gates sound fine to me. Any tips you have about staying there? Thanks

summit is definately secure. you HAVE to have a band on to come in the front parking lot (it is gated) and you have to have a band to get into the place from the beach. there are fences back there as well. Any car that enters has to have a parking pass. I liked it for the fact I didnt have to worry about my car in the parking lot, but it sucked when the end of the night came and you cant bring anyone home.... 1 word of advice, at the club look for the girls with the same color arm band on(but i will warn you, there arent many) summit is definately a sausage fest its the only way they are coming back with you.

Gonna have to agree with juice. The only way to we found to get people passed the front gates was the bus trick or find girls already staying there. You do have to pay $25 for a parking pass (even if you don't have a car) and since the parking lot is gated, it's a bit more secure.

The condos and location were good. Being right next to Spinnakers and La Vela, we would get our hands stamped between 7 and 9pm, walk back to the room and get boozey, then head back over a couple hours later- so we only paid like $10 instead of $25 to get in. However, when we went, both those clubs seemed to be like 70% dudes, so we ended up going to other places the rest of the week- might be different another week.

I stumbled into the Chateau Motel one night and I don't recall anyone around checking for them.
