Well... I will say I had a good time but definitly not a wild time. The 27th- April 3rd week was slow. The Summit seemed like the only place that had alot of people. Good thing was I didnt think the guy to girl ratio was all that bad. The Bad news was that the girls were all young. Nevertheless I still had a great time.

La Vela is BY NO MEANS the largest night club in the coutry. I have been to at least 4 clubs I know are bigger. I think they are counting the pool in square footage which is just plain wrong. Also advertising for LaVela should have been illegal for that week. They have on their sign everyday wet tshirt contest etc and didnt have one. Wed they had Wet Wed and we paid to get in only to be told after we paid that it wasnt goingt to happen. At 1am everyone realized this and left. Thats BS.

Spinnakers was dead all week even closing at 11pm some nights. Seems Spinnakers is turning into a family restaurant too.

Went to Latitudes at 12pm and literally nobody was there. They had a foam party next door at Harpoon Harry's but 20 bucks to get in and "all ages" was not to our liking.

Best thing about the trip was actually the Summit. met alot of people staying there and had a good time. The security was not as bad as I thought it would be either. We had black bands which were easily removable and looked exactly like those things girls use in their hair. Someone could easily get in on a store bought band.

Fun trip very relaxing but definitly not wild.. I think we missed that week. BTW for those who had guy/girl ratio problems.. me and my buddy ate at Pinapple Willy's one night and the ratio had to be about 10:1 with the 10 being girls. Oh and Captain Andersans had the best steak I had in along time. Overall I think we made the best of a bad situation though. And I want to give a shout out to my people that stayed at the Summit the 27th to 3rd!

I think your wristbands were for being older. Everyone in our room had orange wristbands. As for security, they are definately hypocrits. They busted parties, but were drinking in rooms. I also heard that one of them locked the elevator and had sex with some girl on it. I don't have a problem with them drinking in the rooms or the dude locking the elevator, but don't go around busting people after doing all those things.

I know a group that had the security guards smoking pot with them. I heard later in the week from someone that we had 'owners' bands on.. Maybe since we rented from the owner. But we had some people not staying there visit by just wearing black hair bands. Sadly the summit appeared to have alot more people than the rest of the city. The rest of the city sucked so bad though that parties in the elevator seemed to be better than the clubs. We had one big party towards the end of the week when we figured out the clubs were going to be lame all week. Apparently we had a nicer place than everyone else too. One girl called it the love palace (if you spent any time at the pool that was the young girl always in the yellow bikini with the HUGE breasts) she was actually very cool too just too young. But yea the security was pretty strange..One kid went to give the security guard a high five and he snubbed him and said he doesnt give high fives to kids. I guess they didnt mess with us because we had black bands though.

I spent some time at the pool, but I can't really remember anyone looking like that. It wasn't until is was too cold to swim that we learned there was a heated pool and one that wasn't heated. We were the only morons swimming in the non-heated pool. I did wonder why everyone was in the other pool.

You were lucky to get those other bands though. I think I met someone who owned and his was blue. They change the other bands every week, but they never really checked too hard...just looked for the orange. The only time I was checked hard was when I also had a blue wristband on after leaving Harpoon Harry's one night.

security at the summit was very strange. 20-27 Two of the guys i was with had stuff stolen from the room. As we checked it out so did about 3 other people with rooms below us on the side next to the elevator also had stuff taken out of the rooms. We also know the doors were locked b/c we made sure to check them.
When we asked the office the security guards had agruments about who had the keys to the rooms that nite. VERY VERY STRANGE!!! Security guards at the SUMMIT ARE VERY SHADY.. IF YOU STAY THERE BE SURE TO HIDE YOUR STUFF.. TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!!!!

What I think more people need to do is rent from the owner's the treatment you get is night and day. At check in the guy just asked our age and didnt check for ID or anything gave us the black bands and the security never checked us, we could also have gotten more bands at that time without guests needing to be present. The room we had was by far superior to the rest of the condo's I saw there as well. The price to stay there was also cheaper from the owner as well. And the security DOES NOT have the keys to owner's condo's. After hearing all the talk about the security being Nazi's I was scared it would ruin our trip but I never once had a problem with them. I definitly had people stop by that were not staying at the Summit and never had any runins with the security. Of course Im 26 so that might have something to do with it as well.
