Summit/Other Condo Question

We're heading down to PCB the 19th through the 26th. Last year we stayed at the Sandpiper, however, we would like to be closer to the action.

We would like to stay somewhere where there is a kitchen, so we can make our own meals to save money.

We are thinking The Summit. Is the Summit pretty much all spring breakers? Is security pretty strict?

Also, where can you get reservations besides directly from them. They seem very pricey on their website.

Any other Condos in that area for Spring Breakers besides the boardwalk? (the boardwalk doesn't have full kitchens to my knowledge)

Thanks in advance!

well...

Well, I have been to pcb the last 3 years, and I can tell you this, if you are staying at the summit, expect security to be Tighter than home land security at the pentigon!! 10 foot walls surround the place, and security is everywhere. My buddies g/f was staying there and he tried to climb the wall, ended up getting 10 stitches in his arm! Not to mention he did not get in! Its a nice place for the money! You are going to either have to give up guests, or give up the kitchen. That, or find a different place that fits both your needs, but......if you do choose the summit, expect not to have anyone back with you, unless they are staying there! Take my advice, I stayed at the boardwalk the past 3 years, Ive seen it all!! Enjoy

Jason

Thanks for the help. I don't think we're too concerned about the security. We have a large group. We just need space to make meals. So I guess a 4 person place with mini fridge and microwave may work. But the larger places seem to have cheaper rates.

Dougy Fresh is on a distinguished road
I stayed at The Summit last year and the security is strict, but dirty too. Some people we met had security drink with them so they wouldn't bust them, but then security went around one night busting a lot of people we met and made them throw their alcohol out. Luckily, I was 21 and they couldn't do anything about the alcohol in our room. Also, try and rent from an owner. You might need someone 25, but you also get different wristbands. We got bright orange ones and others who rented from the hotel got things that looked like ponytail holders which you could buy at Wal-Mart and try and pass by security that way.
