Essential Hotel to stay

I'm only going the PCB 2005 with about 3-4 people, Mar 21-26. My question is this, must you stay on the strip? all of the hotel's are about $170 or so, some members of my party don't have much money, so would it be a MUST to tell them to buck up and pay it and stay along the strip, or can you stay at one of those $80-100 hotels that are more in the city??? can you still have a good time at one of those hotels that are not on the strip, according to the map, it looks like about 10 miles or so from the main area. I'm trying to book a hotel so please let me know! thanks

Tell 'em to BUCK UP! You'll have much more fun on the Beach than staying in town.

You should definitely stay on the strip. Your trip will not be the same if you stay off the strip. That's where all the action is. If your friends are really that broke, they shouldn't be going on vacation. Seriously though, if you must take the cheaper route, there is a Travelodge on Front Beach Road not far from the strip. They should have some pretty cheap rooms. You can still have fun, but your hotel experience won't compare to staying at a good hotel. Half the fun of spring break is partying at the hotel. You can always crash a hotel and party there if you need to.

You all need to stay at the Holiday Inn Sunspree and give me a good show. The Sunspree is a hoppin place. Only problem is the wrist bands have to be worn and no one allowed in without one. A little hard to sneek friends in. I'm staying next door at the Ocean Towers. I have a one bedroom condo on the 2nd floor with a great view. I go over to the Holiday Inn Sunspree and check out the outdoor dance floor with all the fine ladys dancing away to a contest. Some real beauties there!!!!!!!!
