So last year they sold the gold cards online for like $30 instead of $40 when you go there. Well this year it says $40... save money buying now online! Do you actually think they will be more than $40 when we get down there? Need opinions cuz otherwise I am going to buy mine online just to be on the safe side!:) http://www.springbreakfla.com/schedule.html is the comparison of the 2 cards.... which ones do you guys suggest??? Last year we got the Gold card, but loved going to harpoon harry's

if you buy a spinnakers card you can only go to spinnakers, every single night, that might get boring.

Yeah I totally agree with you. I went last year once, but had a great time at the other places like Harpoon Harry's, Hamerhead Freds, etc.

lol
Thats not the point, with the gold cards, you have to use them between certain times, like 7-9pm, and if you dont get there before those times to get in line, the lines will be to long for you to even use the card!! Trust me, not worth the money for the gold card! More worth getting the spinnakers card! You dont have to go there every night, just a few nights pays for itself! Enjoy

So what do you suggest if a person wants to go to those other clubs? Pay huge cover charges and not get any of the free beer that they serve for 4 hours a day? Honestly though I wonder what you suggest for someone who doesn't want to spend every single night at Spinnakers, which I think is one of the best places down there, I just think there is more to experience.

ok....
No, here is what you do! What ever club you want to go to that night, go early and get your hand stamped and leave! Then later, go back and you wont wait in line cause you already have your hand stamped, but........if you dont want to do that, just go early anyways. EVERY club in pcb has specials every night almost! And most are for people 21 and over. Usually free beer and cheap cover. So, by paying for this gold card, you are getting the same thing every club offers anyways!! The gold card is more for people under 21, but still!! Trust me, I spent 3 straight years in pcb, and I have been to countless other destinations, I know what Im talking about here! Save yourself money, just go to the club early, drink some free beer, stay or leave, either one, you can still get back in! Side note, the best bar in town for us was latitudes!! Right beside hooters! 5 dollar cover ALL night, dollar beers, and the craziest wet t-shirt contests at 1am I have seen since going to cancun!! Trust me!!! Any other questions just ask!! enjoy

Spinnaker VIP Cards
Quote:
Is it possible to buy a Spinnaker VIP card for the week and sell it to someone coming the next week? They don't put your picture on it like a Sam's card or something do they? |

Usually they have different color VIP cards for every week making it impossible to use the same card two different weeks.
The deal with the Panamaniac/Gold cards is this. You would save more money if you are under 21 as opposed to over 21. The card has free cover and free beer at specific clubs from 2-4 at one place and 7-9 at a different place. At most of the clubs on the card the cover is only $5(over 21) from 7-9. After 9, it goes up. It is $5 from 2-4 at the clubs that have free beer. You get free beer at the clubs regardless of whether or not you have the card. All you are saving on is cover. For you to save money, you have to go each specific club 7 nights and at least two clubs from 2-4. The card costs you $40 and you saved $45 in cover, so you overall save $5. If you think you are going to attend all the parties, then it is worth it. We rarely ever went from 2-4. However, you do get 1/2 cover all week at Harpoon Harry's regardless of the day, and you get discounts at Hooter's and some other restaurants and souvenir shops. If you think you will take advantage of all of this, you should get the card. If you are not, you might as well have the freedom to do what you want, when you want. If you are under 21, your cover is higher so it is almost always worth getting the card. |

Having read all the banter and advice. I reckon that because we are staying at the days inn I will recomennd the panamaniac card to the boys, mainly because the main discounts are at the places right near the hotel (harry's, hooters etc...) so we are most likely to use them and get the monies worth. If we were further donwn the beach nearer the big clubs, would probably be a different story.

See I always got the card 'cause I stayed at the Chateau and we used the discounts at Harpoon Harry's and Hooters and stuff. We would walk over to the 2-4pm free beer party at Harpoon Harry's 'cause it was easy. I never went to the 2-4 parties anywhere else. Plus it was nice 'cause we would go to 7-9pm free beer party at Spinnaker's and Hammerhead Fred's, hang out there till midnight or so and then go back to the hotel and walk over to Harry's and get 1/2 off cover. The only reason we got our money's worth was 'cause we stayed close by.
As for the LaVela and Spinnaker's card, if you think you are gonna want to go to one of these clubs at least 4 or 5 times, it's worth it. I don't know what kind of other discounts they have on them. If you are staying nearby at the Boardwalk or Summit or something, it might be worth it. It's all up to you. All the cards are good deals if you plan on taking full advantage of it. A lot of people don't though. Most people down there get the Panamaniac card so I don't care if I'm restricted on which club I can go to on a certain night. That's where the most people are gonna be anyway, so that's where I'm gonna want to be. STEVE-O |

Thanks
Well thanks guys for all the advice! I am going to take it into great consideration! :)
I wonder how much they will be down there this year? $40 like last? It says online that if you buy now for $40 you will save..... don't really get that, unless the card prices have gone up! We are staying at the summit, but last year loved going to Harry's, so we will see... thanks again |

In 2004 the Spinnaker VIP cards were non-transferrable. They write your name, per your driver's license, and each card had a membership #. It's good for the whole year.
Also, I agree with Jason. I got my money's worth last year. No waiting in looong lines, plus discounted drinks (little over $2 for bottles)... after doin' lotsa bar hoppin' I found myself @ Spinnaker many nights... i didn't purchase the pana or gold vip cards; if you're over 21, i don't think they're worth the price. |
