Why are most american beers lite???? is it lite in alcohol, or calories or colour....what???? never got it?

I think you might see a lot of bud select...anyone try it, its kinda like that miller commercial "I can't taste my beer!"? I can't really decide if I like it, probably just stick with bud lite and miller lite.

Light beers have less calories. There are light and non-light versions of just about every beer, though the light versions are generally more popular. They are "easier to drink" as well, meaning while some may taste watered down, they generally lack any bitterness. Budweiser is actually a very popular non-light beer.

Yeah I heard that Bud Select is pretty good, but haven't tried it yet. I think light beer has more of a cool, refreshing taste than lagers or dark beers. Even though they have less calories, it usually takes more to get a good buzz, so I suppose calories isn't a factor. Ultimately, my favorite is Corona Extra with a lime, but cops don't like bottles on the beach. My favorite binge drinking beverage is Bud Light and favorite keg beer is Natural Light.

most everyone will be drinking bush lite so I voted other.

Keystone for good cheap beer....miller high life for cheaper beer with a fancy name - plus its the champagne of beers...Corona n' Lime for the beach atmosphere....

Whats the highest alcohol % among the beers? We drink 8% and **** up here in the great white north if I drink a watered down light beer with like 2 or 3% alcohol I am gonna need alot of them lol...Hell you can even get 12% beer over in Quebec

Out of domestic beers, for alcoholic content, the highest is the ice beers. You're probably best off goin' with Icehouse or something like that. I'm not sure what the percentage but I know it's higher than Bud or Bud Light.

yeah i voted miller lite, but i think i'll be drinking alot of bud select.... it is good stuff

On any given night Karaoke Kafe can go through 4-8kegs of MGD Lite (Cheap 1$ beer).. Icehouse is put up for the 1$ beer as well.. the majority will drink whatever is cheapest--

I can't believe that no one here has mentioned BUSCH LIGHT!!!! $16.99 a 30 Pack and it tastes better than Natty Light (though I am still an avid natty light drinker). Bush light is the best bang for your buck and it tastes pretty good. That is all we drank down there last year (except for the daily case of Budweiser. It also doesn't give you raging hangovers. Just ringing in to represent the BUSCH.
