ya thats a big thing i noticed when at pcb. it is DEFINATELY a sausagefest especially around the stages on the beach cuz for the most part- its bikini contests. whats that gunna attract? a bunch of drunk/horny guys. all the girls are lyin out on the beach
id say it was 60% guys, 40% girls. and of the guys, many of them were thugs that possessed no game at all for the southern country girls (which is all it was). mostly- none of the girls liked those guys at all i miss pcb

I've been watching it here at work off and on all afternoon. Most of the girls like to lay out on the beach and soak up what sun they can.

I believe La Vela has foam parties every Thursday night, although I could be wrong. Of course PCB's gonna be a sausage fest, but nowhere else will be any different. Girls tend to come here to relax, have fun with friends, and improve their self-image (ultimately improving self-esteem), while most guys come to get drunk and get laid. It's like dance clubs, girls tend to get in their lesbian-like circles on the dance floor and dance around their pocketbooks and shoes, while most guys drink, stare, and drool the whole time. Women are not geniologically(is that a word?) dominant, so they don't have to worry about initiating conversation and whatnot. Plus most girls have dated plenty of hot guys that have been a-holes, so one hot guy isn't much different from another. Luckily for the elite, most guys in general don't understand attraction and how to trigger it and have no idea how to relax and just talk to women, so there truly isn't much competition. These guys need to realize that all girls want is to have fun and laugh with a confident and supportive guy; not get some cheesy pick-up line from some insecure loser. Women can READ men in about 30 seconds from meeting them (by voice tone, posture, eye contact and other unconscious factors) and immediately categorize them into "date-able" or "not". Also take into account that women are more attracted to personality than looks! Attraction doesn't follow the rules of logic - remember that! That's just my 2¢ tho. Sorry it got long.

then also what you wear too- if you go in wearing abercrombie/american eagle/hollister as a textbook hot college frat guy, chances are you'll blend right in 100% with the other guys and ull be looked right past...very surprised tho- i didnt see many popped collars thankfully the fact is- despite the guy:girl ratio being pretty bad, the amount of hot do-able girls (even if it takes a click of the switch or some assistance from ur friend Mr. Anheiser to make her do-able), is almost 100%. in other words- even tho its only bout 40% girls there, 99% of them are worth it. when u hear sausage fest at college or ordinary nights of partying, thats a bad thing cuz its mixed with every girl more or less- hot, fat, ugly, decent, etc. so in those sausage fests, (lets assume also a 60:40, guy:girl), probly out of them only bout half those girls would be doable in any sense so i mean, if it was a taco fest (opposite of sausage fest for those who dont know), chances are ur not gunna really have a 99% hotness rate. so itll again, put it to like a 60-40 (guys - doable girls) PCB just did the dirty work for us and weeded out the bad ones for us pretty much :) |

Very very interesting points on this thread. I just got back from Panama City Beach on Sunday...here's what I saw: Club LaVela is a sausage fest. At LEAST 3 guys to 1 girl. Same with Spinnakers. Best odds of getting ANY play is at Latitudes or Harpoon Harry's-- it's much more laid back and you can actually hear the person you're talking to. Here's why most people aren't getting laid down there: More often then not, I've seen a lot of guys (along with the friends I was with) start to hit on a group of girls. Bad theory. NEVER EVER hit on "groups" of girls. Let's say two guys find a group of, say, three girls. That "other" girl (most assumably the non-attractive one) is going to get left out, feel jealous, and start to sink the ship: "Yeah me and my friends have to take off...they're really drunk and I need to take them home." Have heard it a million times. Word to the wise...hit on members of the opposite sex in even-numbered groups...if you're out with two guys, hit on two-girl groups. Saves a LOT of time. ALSO-- try striking up conversations on the beach. I had it 10 times easier talking to people on the beach than at Sausagefest LaVela.
