We will be coming in from the via FL-79 and were just wondering a good route to the Summit to avoid the bridge traffic.

Last year we went over the bridge and it took forever, however, on the way out we took a route out on the west side of PCB. We can't remember the route though.

Is there are way to avoid the traffic on the bridge and Thomas Drive?

I guess my only advice to you would be try to miss it by avoiding peak hours like the 5 O clock hour and the early morning. Thats what Ive done and has worked alright. Hope that helps.

Well, if you're coming from 79, you must be talking about the bridge on 79, which I haven't known to get too bad, but if it does, the only other way to get into PC is Highway 98, which comes from the west, highway 77 which runs parallel with 79, but you'll have to get traffic on the Hathaway Bridge, and take about 30 minutes to get to it. Other than that, avoid 6-10AM and 3-7PM.
