Went to Cancun 2 years ago and had the best freak'n time of my life!
Now i'm giving PCB a shot and staying at the summit... can anyone tell me if PCB can live up to cancun in any way? It was the whole non stop drinking/partying that I loved about cancun... Parties, watersports etc...

choosing days inn/ramada near sharkys or

boardwalk beach hotel near spinnikers

any suggestions?

The only thing Cancun has on PCB is the weather. The weather is usually better in Cancun. I've been to both places. PCB has just as much partying as Cancun. PCB seems to be more laid back, and everyone seems friendlier in my opinion. All anyone cares about in Cancun is getting some, which is fine I guess, but I'd rather just party my *** off and have fun. I think more people share have that philosophy in PCB than in Cancun.

By the way, Days Inn is not near Sharky's. It's by Harpoon Harry's and Latitudes. If I was gonna recommend a hotel, it would either be the Boardwalk or the Chateau. If you wanna be near the big clubs like LaVela and Spinnaker's, go with Boardwalk, if you prefer the smaller clubs like Harpoon Harry's and Latitude's go with the Chateau. The Summit is nice too and is a little more upper scale than Boardwalk or Chateau, but the security is tighter there and that's a big setback in my opinion.

ok, this is coming from a pcb pro and a cancun pro! I went to cancun right before I started going to pcb. Went to pcb 3 straight years and last year we went back to cancun! Here is an honest opinion. First off, of course, the weather and the ocean by FAR flow pcb away!! The party scene............ahhhh its hard to tell. I think people are more party, party in cancun cause its a different country and people tend to let things go a little more down there! Although, I always had fun in pcb. You also have more variety in cancun than you do pcb, however, no matter what, pcb is a huge party destination and you will have a KILLER time!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually go to Cancun but wanted to try something different so I decided to go to PCB this year. Does the cover for the clubs include all you can drink like in Cancun or do you have to buy drinks separately? Also, is March 18-25 a good week to go to PCB?

The cover does not include open bar. Cover is much cheaper in PCB though for that reason. You're lookin at about $10 cover at most bars in PCB. LaVela can be more expensice depending on when you get there. Most clubs also serve free draft beer from 7-9. They also have daytime parties with free beer. You can buy a party card for $35 or so that will get you free cover to select bars each night and free beer from 7-9. You can check out all they have to offer at www.platinumpartycard.com

That party card is definitely worth it and I recommend it for everyone, you WILL NOT be disappointed. Its the best investment you will make all spring break next to sun screen, a beer funnel, and condoms.

I would wait until you get down there. They have reps all over the place. You'll have no problems finding them. They'll find you. That way you can see what other people are doing, and the reps can explain the card to you better. I think it's definitely worth the purchase. People don't like that it restricts what bars you can go to each day, but most people get the card so the club on the schedule will be the busiest club anyways.
