Hi, Im looking for the cheapest way to Panama Beach from New York. I've been quoted some flights ($350 return). Does the Amtrak go down that way or is it drivable?

drive i've done it 5 times figure 15-20 hours and its better having your car down there i can even give you a shorter way that mapquest won't i drive from south jersey every year and its 1200 miles so figure your gas milage and how much it would cost you to make the trip figure add your distance from philly + 1200 figure even at 20 miles a gallon $2.50 a gal average thats $12.50 every 100 miles if its 1500 thats = thats 187.50 each way and divideby people in the car if you got 4 thats $48 dollars each way plus food and **** your lookin at maybe $200 a person round trip at most

im driving from Chicago to Panama City.. 6 people in the car so its definately much cheaper than flying

Yeah, we're driving from Chi-town too. It's gonna be like 12 of us, and you know how Chicago does it. It's gonna be crunk! What week are you going? We'll be down there March 17-23. We should all hook up and party if that's your week. Where ya'll staying?

The bus takes forever to get there....look at the layovers, it is over a whole day to get there.

We have driven from maryland the past 3 years.

The trip down isn't bad, but allow enought extra time for the trip back. You are super tierd and beat. Be careful.
