First time To PCB: Summit
wuts goin on girls and guys. this will be my first trip to PCB for spring break. me and 5 other friends are headed down on mar 11-18 and are staying at THE SUMMIT. is this a good choice? and will i have a good time? i looked at the map and noticed that the summit is far east from alot of other places. Is it a party atmosphere in and outside of these condos. i know mtvU will be there during my stay so hopefully that will help. neways jus lookn for a good week of partying and good memories. if neone can help with my questions, then thanks in advance.

it is a great place to stay! during the day mtvU is set up right in front of the summit. It isn't located right in the middle of Front Beach Road, so if the road gets backed up and you're trying to get somewhere you can take middle beach road to get away from the traffic. If you wanna be in the traffic you can be too. But no I came down for just 3 nights last year and it was AMAZING!!!

You made a good choice!!
However you are next to the super clubs, the daytime beach parties, MTVu, and did I mention the super clubs. That means you don't have to drive anywhere to have a good time..... Coyote Ugly and Harpon Harries are also on the Summit side of the beach. The only thig you will have trouble getting to is Lattitudes, which is not that great anyway.....It only gets good at 11pm when they start wet t-shirt contest, but believe me you will get tired of them after a while. There will be wet t-shirt/botty shaken/girls get naked contest all day long. They are even starting at 9am at LaVela's and by 10am they will be on the beach, because by 10am everyone is alread drunk!!!!!!!!!! Any other questions................ Joe |

I don't think you are missing much of anything by not saying in the middle of the strip. I've been to pcb the past 4 years during peak week and stayed at the Boardwalk each time. In years past the strip was hopping, I remember the first two years we went it was bumper to bumper traffic and it was awesome. I know for a fact that the peak week last year the strip was completely dead. You could get anywhere in less than 10 minutes compared to an hour years before. If your staying at the summit the only places you might want to go to at night on the strip would be a trip to walmart for alcohol or the area around Lattitudes and Harpoon Harry's.

In case you guys didn't notice, I first made this post over a year ago before Spring Break 2006. I stayed at the Summit last spring break and had a blast and have already booked to stay there for 2007. Thanks for the replies to my original post, but they were jjust a year too late..
