don't have a beer in your hand on the strip, don't stumble down the strip drunk(u can be wasted and they usually won't bother u), don't hang out of a car too far or out the back on a suv with the gate open, just crap like that, they realize they can't arrest everyone but some things they will get sh#tty about. If u just use your head you will be fine. I was in truck two years ago with a beer in my lap and I got a open container ($250) and I was only 19.

One thing I did see that they hated was fake ID's, if ya use one make sure they don't fine it!

well heres the thing, i have a fake id but mine is from england, it loos just like the driving licence over there. see i am from england and the id has my picture on it my signature and such like that. I have 2 of them different ones (like an old and a new one)

Yeah, when my cousins come from england to visit me, they have all kinds of id's guys/girls, dont matter, It seems that security cant really say much about them. Well at least i've never seen it fail. If you have a british accent, I reccomend the bouncer hearing you speak when you give him the id, it'll help.

Hey, got ?, I'm 21 and plan on drinking on the beach all week. However, i don't trust myself with an ID in my pocket wasted in swim trunks. What do u do with your ID, do you have to have it on you at all times or does it not matter?

Most people dont carry their ID on them during the day, the only reason u would ever need it for is it you planned on going into Lavela during the afternoon for the wet t shirt contests. So i would def leave it at the hotel, if you lose your ID down there your ****ed the rest of the week. Last year mine came out in the water and somehow my buddy found it a few minutes later floating on top.

i was their last year, the cops are pretty relaxed about things that most city cops arent. you can basically do anything as long as your not endangering yourself, such as hanging out of a window with a beer in your hand and damn near fallign out.

how strict are they are with pot?

HAHA Sportboy, that was absolutely perfect. Dude, from what I hear about the cops down there period and how they be trippin around springbreak, I won't be too careless with the pot. A couple of my buddies went down there last year and said a room got raided because you could smell them smokin in the hallway and they all got kicked out the hotel and went to jail, so if you're gonna have it, you better damn well be discreet. I've never been, but I would assume, they're pretty anal about it.

yeah same here 2 rooms down from us they were evicted and had the cops called underage drinkin is one thing but they dont mess around with drugs

Thanks for the advice everybody. I'll make sure that we all leave anything non-prescription at home. There will be plenty of partying even without it! I'd rather be drunk in public than high in jail. See you all at the beach...

yeah keep the drugs in the rooms. last weekend i was ridin the strip and there were cops with drug dogs on front beach between beckrich and alf coleman road.

if you were to get a underage drinking ticket down there... what exactly is the penalty on it?

Normally if they catch you with a lot of beer/liqour on you, they make you poor it all out in front of everyone. I promise you'll see it happen to a few people while you're down, it always happens to someone. Other than that, I believe you just get a ticket, not sure the amount. But if you're caught drinking underage and you were in a fight or something, then its obvious you're going to jail. They want everyone to have a good time, and not put anyone in danger.
