Tough Choice - Please Help!!!

Okay, here's the deal. We have a choice to stay at the Summit, Boardwalk Condos, Edgewater Resort, or Moondrifter. I don't know anything about either of these, so can someone please help me choose. There are 10 of us and we found one unit in Edgewater and Boardwalk that can sleep all of us and two seperate units in both Moondrifter and Summit. If you were in our shoes, which would you pick? We wanted to rent a house, but aren't having any luck with that. Has anyone seen the condos at Boardwalk? If it says it sleeps 10-12, will we be crowded or are they pretty bigh. Someone please help, any info is appreciated.

I live a couple of blocks from Spinnaker and I use to bartend at the Palapa in Edgewater.

This is my list (keep in mind I've never stayed at any of these, I'm just going by what I've seen and what people staying at all 4 of these have told me in the past)

1.Moondrifter
2.Boardwalk Condos
3.Summit
4.Edgewater Resort - If you're staying here you can have a good time, but they are super strict about everything (again I use to work here, so trust me).

It depends if you are going for the nicest hotel or the best atmosphere. I don't think you are gonna find a better spring break experience than you will at the Boardwalk. I don't know much about the other choices except for the Summit. The Summit is a nicer hotel, but the security is more strict and you don't get the party atmosphere that you get at the Boardwalk. If it was me, I would choose the Boardwalk.

ParasailPCB is an unknown quantity at this point
Steve O does not know what the hell he is talking about. The Boardwalk is under condo construction so parking is a total mess. The Summit is ok but kind old and real strict. The Moondrifter is where i would stay. First of all they are right next to Boardwalk and Summit so u will still get the whole spring break experience as far as venders and concerts from MTV U. And Second they are a bit nicer. Edgewater is nice but Moondrifter is the place to be. Don't listen to Steve-O he gives advice but knows a damn thing. Listen to a local.

Don't be so quick to flame Steve-O... he's given plenty of good advice. You're always entitled to your opinion, but no need to be rude. Thanks!

Swn5363 I agree, Steve-O always gives good advice. I'm sure you're right too Parasail. So Swn, what's your take? U seem pretty well aquainted with the area, what's your opinion? I think Edgewater is out of the question, so it's a toss up between the other 3.

Traveller. I don't know much about PCB, but we got 12 of us stayin in 2 summit condos and can't wait! it's gonna be a blast regardless of where you stay. People say the summit isnt as big of a party atmosphere? Don't you worry. The 12 im with will be sure to change all that. Anyway, jus throwin in my 2 cents. Pick what u want, but stay at the summit and we will rock it out together.

I've never stayed at any of those hotels during Spring Break, but I hear LOTS of good stuff about Boardwalk and very little bad.

Little info on Moondrifter good or bad.

Good info about Summit, but lots of complaints about security being too tight.

Edgewater is really nice but a little secluded. Cuold be good if you want some privacy and a break from the craziness.

During my Spring Breaks, we always rented a house on or near the beach. But from what I've seen here in the forums and heard by word of mouth, I'd take a serious look at Boardwalk.

Where do you go to rent a house? That's really what we want to do, but all the houses on VRBO are either booked or don't rent to springbreakers. Any input?

My friends and I all grew up here so we always rented from somebody's relative or a friend of a friend.... but that was almost 10 years ago (sheesh! that's a long time!).

All of ou clients are hotels or resorts... no house renters. But maybe try with a Google search. West end of Thomas Drive would be a good spot. Also, Oleander Drive has a couple dozen HUGE houses right on the Beach, all within walking distance of Harpoon Harry's, Latitudes, etc. Either of those would be good locations.

Man......I must really be out of the loop. I would have bet the house that Edgewater would have been the top pick. WOW!!!! I have never been to the other ones in question so I only know about Edgewater. I must be OLD haha. Anyway, I would bet Edgewater has the best and largest pool. When I went on spring break a couple years ago, their were tons of spring breakers staying there and yes they were rowdy. Anyway, my selection would be Edgewater, but I do not know what you are looking for or what the other properties offer.

Wow! I had no idea someone was talking trash about me until now! Anyways, I don't think I have to explain myself to anyone especially this guy. Good luck with the parasailing douchebag!
