Kegs on the beach...is this cool?
Just wondered if it legal to have kegs on the beach. I have seen threads with people saying that they hide the kegs in the sand, but i saw a website saying that panama city is the place to be because they allow kegs on the beach.....Can anyone clarify for me please?
Thanks |

Yeah, kegs are legal I believe. I've seen plenty of people with kegs on the beach, and I've never seen anyone get in trouble. I think people bury them just to avoid making a scene.

On the beach, I've witnessed topless keg stands... kegs are buried to keep the beer cool.

A half barrel is a 16 gallon keg.

Anyone know of any liquor stores near the beach where we can just buy a keg and carry it to the beach and not have to walk a mile.
I'm staying at the boardwalk and im looking to say close by if possible, any suggestions are appriciated. |

Ms. Newby's (3 or 4 blocks East of the Boardwalk) might sell kegs, but the cheapest kegs are at WalMart. WalMart is probably closer.

I want to say that the low end keg's run about 59.99$ (naty light, etc) and mid grade kegs are 79.99$ (bud light, miller lite), but I could be wrong it's been 6 months since I bought a keg. They might raise the price for Spring break as well. Also note there is a keg deposit of 10-15$ and a tap deposit of 40$+. You'll need ice and a barrel as well.
Here's WalMarts phone number if you want to check for yourself: Walmart Super Center 10270 Front Beach Rd. Panama City Beach FL 324073808 850-234-1989 |

You get the keg and tapper deposits back when you return them.

Tapper is $40 here in Iowa as well, im sure they cost more where they are more likely to not be returned.
