I'm gonna try to start posting some stuff today. Since I wasn't planning on doing a lot of this on-site, I had to make a couple runs to Best Buy and Circuit City to bulk up on software and hardware.

But a quick preview... folks, the beach was absolutely *packed* yesterday. I mean, *insanely* packed. This is my third time here during SB, and I've never seen it busier... particularly behind Spinnaker and the Summit.

HAPPY GREEN BEER DAY!!!

Spring Break has been pretty crazy the past few days! The Three 6 Mafia show on Wednesday was insane! Between 50,000-70,000 people showed up to watch Three 6, T.I. and Sean Paul live on the mtvU beach stage behind Summit Condos. A couple disturbances broke out and Three 6 had to cut the show short for security reasons, but not before telling the crowd to "calm down" and "drinks are on me..." Killer concert, regardless. Just hope nobody got hurt.

Yesterday, HelloGoodbye and Armor for Sleep put on a great live show and concluded mtvU's concert series for this year. mtvU promotions will be here through Saturday.

Spinnaker's Beach Bash on Tuesday was very cool... except the band got fired so there was no live music. The food and drinks were great and the contests on the beach were priceless... esp. the bellyflop contest! Photos coming soon!

At the end of the first peak week, I'd say it was a very good week. Officials say the numbers are down about 10-20%, but you can't tell on the beach or in the clubs. Everyone here is ready to party!

This coming up week is peak week #2 and should be equally impressive. Lots of big colleges on break, including:

Kansas State
Missouri State
Ohio State
University of Alabama
University of Maryland
University of Massachusetts
University of Tennessee
University of Illinois
and lots more colleges!

BeachTV and TripSmarter will be out and about next week... all weekend, plus Tuesday at Sharky's Beach Bash and Thurs night at Hammerhead Fred's.

Weather has been great for all of Spring Break... warm and sunny... until today... the first day of rain in almost 2 months... BUT the rain won't last long and the warm sunny days will be back tomorrow.

Beach is still really packed during the day behind the clubs and bigger hotels (Boardwalk, Summit, SunSpree, Chateau, etc). However, nightime activity at the clubs seems to be a little hit-or-miss. The crowds this week may be a little smaller than expected, and not all of the clubs are filling up every night like they normally would. If it seems like a slow night at one club, it would probably be worth it to leave and check out other clubs.

We'll be back out with Randy Peterson and the Club Hour cameras tonight... probably at Hammerhead Fred's and no telling where else after that. Depends on whose got a good crowd...

Speaking of Hammerhead Fred's, seems there was a little spring break naughtiness happening Tuesday night, which led to six arrests. I'm sure the crowd loved it, but those suckers had to spend part of their Spring Break in jail. Ha!

Could be anyone, I imagine... an irate local having dinner, one of the Pancake Breakfast Christians, you name it. Sadly, our country will always have its share of people who only have a good time when they're getting in the way of someone else's good time.

(Actual conversation overheard on Front Beach last night:

"Hi! Have you heard about our pancake breakfast for Spring Breakers?"

"Like, a thousand times, dude."

"Yeah, too many.")

Spinnaker and Club La Vela were both packed last night. They didn't fill up until late, but it was a great time! Hip Kitty rocked the stage at Spinnaker and the dance floor inside was shoulder-to-shoulder! Club La Vela's pole dancing contest was crazy as usual (Naughty Nad's anyone?)... and we got some great pics and video of all of it! It'll be up soon!

This week started off a little slow, but by Wednesday, the action picked up and it ended up being a great week, despite the slow start. Next week should be another good one... as Panama City Beach looks forward to another group of students to come down and party on the World's Most Beautiful Beaches!

Spring Break keeps going and going...

This week was great! Crowds have been a little smaller, but there's still plenty of breakers on the Beach!

The Ying Yang Twins concert at Club La Vela Tuesday night was a packed house! Every Spring Breaker in town must've been at CLV that night.

The Beach is still kickin'... just not quite the crowds there were during peak weeks.

Clubs are still seeing some good nights...

And luckily, the weather has been AWESOME! I'm not joking... it's been near perfect all during March. Nothing like some warm sunny weather to get you in the partying mood!

What does all this mean? Well... although Spring Break 2006 is winding down, there's still plenty of fun left on the Beach. And still some colleges waiting for their turn to party in PCB (Southern Miss, Eastern Michigan, Northwestern, etc... see our Spring Break calendar for more). PLUS, most highschools have late breaks, so there will be plenty students on the Beach having fun.

what about if youve got a house just a little ways from the major party spots? yall let me know how cops and security are.

and are there and good concerts going to be there april 6-9?

Hi, I was hoping someone had vedios or pictures of all the contest, including thong bikini, the bikini and wet tshirt contest on the beach and especially at Club La Vela . A very good friend of mine was in most of them and she usually won them. I would love to see all any body has on all these contest.
