Yea thats def a pain in the *** having to go in and out over and over to get everyone in with one card or even a couple cards. We had a few people decide not to buy them and they def regreted that decision by midweek. The card is $40........if you cant afford to spend $40 on a card thats gonna save you money then you prolly dont belong on springbreak if money is an issue unless you plan on partying at the hotels all week.

This is my first trip to PCB for spring break, my friends have gone the last couple and said the card isn't worth it, unless everyone is doing it and your at the mercy of the card, meaning you have to go to the clubs that are on the card, not the ones you want to or are close to you. Also, most people don't go to the clubs from 7-9 so what good is the card going to do if you go out at 10 or 11, you can't get free cover and you don't get free beer.

Lets say you use the card from 7-9 and get the free cover/free beer, if you leave and want to come back what is the policy? Do you have to pay the cover/ do you have to wait in line again?

Spinnaker and La Vela close down from 5-7pm or 6-7pm (I can't remember if it's an hour or two). Once you go back in at 7pm or later you get a stamp and you can reenter (if your 21 or older) until they close that night.
The smaller places usually don't shut down and I believe once you get a stamp you can reenter most places. |

Yeah, we would always go to the club at 7, get stamped, drink free beer until 9 then go back to the hotel. Then go back in a couple hours. You will find that the majority of the people down there get the card. That means that the club on the schedule will always be packed. You are at the mercy of the card to a certain degree, but if you use the card 4 out of the 7 nights, you break even. I don't think that is too tough to do. Also, besides free cover and beer, you also get:
Harpoon Harry's - 1/2 off cover charge anytime Captain Jack's Buffet - 10% off food Spinnaker's - 15% off food Sharky's - 15% off food until 4pm Hammerhead Fred's - 15% off food until 4pm Coyote Ugly - 1/2 off cover charge until 9pm Boatyard - 15% off food Schooner's - 15% off food Sunsations - 10% off all merchandise Montego Bay - Free draft with $5 food purchase Rock It Lanes - VIP pricing on bowling, skating, and bar Parasail Rides - $10 off Alvin's Island - 10% off all merchandise Slingshot Ride - $5 off Executive Taxi - $1 off any ride $5 or more Karaoke Cafe - $10 all u can drink draft 11am to 2am Applebees - 99 cent drafts all day everyday Club Sun Tanning Salon - 2 tans for $10 So I don't know how you can say the card isn't worth it. Obviously if you never use it, it isn't worth it, but there is so many ways to save with the card. For $40, you can't go wrong in my opinion. |

I'm one of the minority who don't think it's worth it. Illstate got it right. My buddy got one a couple years back, and he rarely used it... We were staying near la vela, spinnaker, freds, and found the card's schedule to be too confining; plus when they have the free covers they're usually low to get in at that time anyway. He didn't get $40 worth. if you go to harry's a lot, it could be worth it, but we're not harry's fans. I don't think la vela's card is worth it, either. We saved more money getting the spinnaker vip (was $25, now it's $50). Always free to get in (over 21) no matter what time you go + discounted drinks.

Last year the card gave you the option of two different clubs each night so you arent really at the mercy of the card. You will get your money worth it for sure. The schdule isnt hard to read at all either or understand, it gives you time frames each day with whats going on so as long as you can read a paragraph you are fine, and if you cant understand what its saying then you might wanna stay home and improve your reading skills over break.

One huge plus about Spinnaker and La Vela's VIP cards is that you get in almost right away. If the lines to get in go back to Thomas Drive (which they usually do 7pm-midnight during SB), you get to skip the long lines. I don't think the panamaniac card lets you do that. I'd say if you plan on going to Spinnaker or La Vela 2 or more nights their VIP cards would be worth it. Otherwise I'd stick to the panamaniac card.
