They aren't very cheap in Florida. We always stock up in Indiana or Kentucky on the way down. That's where they are the cheapest. You aren't gonna get cigarettes for cheaper than 5 bucks down there.

I used to get cartons of Marlboros for $20. I don't know how much individual packs are, but they have to be less than $3.

if you buy them at the bar/slash clubs they will be 4 or 5 bucks, but if you go the gas stations on the beach, usually a little over 3 bucks and around 25 bucks for cartons of name brands. If you want to go real cheap, you can get 3 packs of 305's for around $4.50.

I bet you didn't know that taking tobacco products from one state to another is a federal offense... I'm sure it's just larger quantities though... happy smoking!

nope... same rule applies to alcohol... it's because of the state tax laws on alcohol and tobacco...

right, and taxes only matter when you are re-selling the product. Otherwise you wouldn't be allowed to transport alcohol through the airport (which is federally regulated) when traveling from one state to another. The tax stamp is only important for resale. You can travel with cigarettes and alcohol (unless it is a huge amount, which is obviously intended for resale)
