Just got back.. my thoughts and an idea to help out other people

whats up everyone... just got back from my 7 night stay at the chateau and to sum it all up.. it was a ****ing blast. The chateau is a pretty crazy hotel but I was a lil dissapointed with the # of guys staying there. Other than that the security was not bad at all, they don't say **** about wrist band and u can party all night as loud as you want. We went and bought a 150 dollar Cd player from walmart and took it back the day we left. It was a damn good idea because we had the volume up as loud as it would go every night at like 4 am and the cops would come by and tell us to just shut the door. So it can be as crazy as u want it to be.. I would have to say I had the most fun at harpoon harry's and spinnakers. The DJ at spinnakers was just insaaaane. I never made it to la vela because I spent all my money on crazy **** if ya know what I mean. We bought the panamaniac card and used it every single night... it definitly paid for itself and i would buy it again. If you have any questions or anything post them and I will tell u my thoughts and everything.

Here is my idea... Post in here what hotel you stayed at and some details and things u liked and didnt like about it. I want to know because I am wanting to stay at a big *** hotel with more people the next time i go down. Chateau was fun as **** but some of the others like summit, boardwalk and sunspree were ****ING HUGE and I want to know peoples thoughts about those... post um up *****es

Stay at The Summit. It was freakin Insane. During the days, you'd walk out back and the pool would be packed the beach behind, even more packed. It was so rediculous and the best parties ever. MTV and other sponsors had booths set up everywhere and were putting on all types of contests. At night after the clubs, everyone would be out partying bein all crazy. Security wasnt tight at all. They rarely checked wristbands and didnt even roam the floors. They stayed on the bottom floor all night and didn't bother any of the springbreakers. I was a little worried going there bc of all the things i heard about security and stuff, but boy were they wrong. ANd as for the people.... well it has 400 and some odd condos and they were all full so you do the math. It was crowded and a blast. I wouldn't even try another place next time i go to PCB. I will definitely be staying at the summit, no doubt.

One thing I would advise, though, is to go when MTV is there. Not only are the beaches full of ppl from the summit, but from all other hotels and condos as well. It was one serious party that whole week that I will never forget.

thanks for the input... i have heard the summit was pretty badass.. the only prob with goin when MTV is down there is that our spring break is the 18th to the 26th.. which is the week right after peak week. kinda sucks because i really want to be down there during peak week.

Based on my observations this year, the 18th-26th week was actually busier overall than "peak week". There were one or two days when MTV absolutely *packed* the beach, but other than that, your week was much more active.

There'll be more about this kinda stuff in my journal, but by the 22nd and 23rd, the strip was gridlocked at night, the beach was busy, and the clubs were hoppin'. If the weather had been friendlier, it woulda been just about perfect.

Well I was there from the 11th-18th and the beach was completely packed every day during that week.

It probably depends on how you define "completely packed". There's no question that 11-18 had a day or two that were absolutely crazy, but 18-26 seemed to have a more consistent saturation. 'Course, 18-26 also had a couple days of bad weather that 11-18 avoided, so the beach scene kinda balanced out.

The big difference was at night, with 11-18 being kinda quiet the whole time, and 18-26 looking more like the PCB of years past around Wednesday and Thursday.

11-18: Thirty minutes to drive from La Vela to the west end of Front Beach, max. And only then if driving slowly and stopping at Backyard Burger.

18-26: Thirty minutes just getting from La Vela to Pineapple Willy's.

I would def agree that peak week this year was nothing like the previous years down there in regards to the strip atleast. In years past it took forever to get anywhere on front beach road the traffic was unreal, but the strip was packed with people walking also and with people selling beads. This year the crowd was def gone during peak week on front beach road at night and you could get anywhere u wanted easily. I thought the beach was just as busy as years past, I hope this isnt a trend thats gonna continue with less and less people coming down for springbreak.
