Yeah, out of those 3, I'd recommend Chateau, too... but you'll be okay with any of those....

Another alternative is the Plaza Motel. They have pretty good Spring Break rates and from what I hear, the owners/managers are very cool about partying... cookouts, kegs, etc. Good location, acros from beach...

And Boardwalk is always a favorite.

Plus the Beach Tower Resort is looking for spring Breakers.

Good luck!

Just clarifying isn't the Chateau and Plaza a long ways away from The Summit/Spinnakers/La Vela?

Chateau and Plaza are about 2-3 miles from the Superclubs, BUT they are right in the heart of the strip. At night, there's just as much activity, if not more, on the strip as opposed to Thomas Drive where the superclubs are.

PLUS, Chateau and Plaza are right next to Harpoon Harry's, Latitudes and Hooters. There won't be as much action on the beach during the day as compared to behind the superclubs, but it won't be lame either. Harpoon Harry's always has big events and contests during the day, and you've got a handful of popular hotels in that area (Chateau, Plaza, Ramada, Days Inn and more).

I'd say both areas have pros and cons. And you can always drive or hitch a ride to the superclubs if you want.

Latitudes was always kinda lame when we were there, Harpoon Harry's is fun, and I would say that the action on the strip is much different than the action down by the superclubs. Its 2 differ scenes.

You really missed out on Latitudes. Hands down the best late-night contests on the beach.

The daytime action is definitely more happenin at the Superclubs, but plenty of ppl enjoy the beach around Chateau, Harpoon Harry's etc. We get great footage there every year. But we do get lots more great footage around the superclubs.

And another thing to consider... the Summit and Boardwalk are generally more expensive than Chateau, Plaza, Days/Ramada Inn. Plus, Boardwalk and Summit fill up faster. Some people booking late won't have a choice.

I'm not sure that is right. We tried to book at the Chateau cuz I stayed there last year and I'm pretty sure they had like 1 room left. So we booked at the Boradwalk and it was about half the cost of what I spent on the Chateau last year.

Hmmm... maybe rates have been changing? I know Boardwalk's rates fluctuate quite a bit depending on when you book it. Since you booked early, you probably got a better rate. Strange that they had rooms when Chateau was sold out. What week are you going?

We'll be down there peak week. March 10-16. Yeah I think we booked the Chateau last year even earlier that we booked this year and we paid like $250 a person there. I think this year at the Boardwalk it is about $100 cheaper than that!

Ha, I remember one night last year, all a friend of mine and I did was hitch rides back and forth on the strip with no specific destination. We would hitch to about the Chateau then hop out and hitch to the Circle K. Between the both of us, we probably kissed 30 different girls in random cars... good times.

Now that's the Spring Break attitude! Good times indeed!
