Summit Condos - MTV is back for Spring Break 07!

UPDATE: 2/2/07 We heard the last week of January that mtvU canceled their plans for PCB. It's unfortunate, but it won't affect Spring Break negatively. In fact, we expect the Superclubs to make up for the lack of mtvU concerts with concerts of their own. Club La Vela has already booked the Ying Yang Twins for March 13th. thats awsome! i have been waiting on some great news to pop up and get this thing going. we booked a condo at the boardwalk the other day and its right there walkin distance to the stage behind the summit. just think its only 8 weeks from today till peak week starts!!!

Great to hear MtvU is going back to pcb, you guys will enjoy that once again!

It's always a pleasure hosting mtvU! Hopefully there will be some big names March 5-9 while I'm there. Man, i miss living in PCB! A month of Spring Break all of a sudden shrunk to a week. Still counting down the days though!

Where can i find info on who's performing and when??

Probably won't know that until next month sometime... but we'll post it here when we find out!

I just received an email from Jason at MTV. He told me MTVu/MTV will NOT be in PCB this year! They are doing Cancun for Spring Break instead. I don't know about the info saying otherwise, but I have heard from the source itself. I have to believe that he's telling the truth.

Summit removed the mtvU snipe from their website (it was in the pink scrolling text).

Maybe mtvU changed their plans?

I'll contact Spinnaker and see if they know of any changes...

Word from our friends is that mtvU pulled out this week.

BUT, there's always a chance they could change their mind. Spring Break planning is chaotic at best, and many of the bigger events and concerts don't get confirmed until last minute. We've seen similar situations in the past and the events ended up happening after all.

Maybe we should all contact mtvU and tell them how much they are appreciated in Panama City Beach. Looks like Jason.Rzepka in the Press/Marketing dept (near bottom of page) would be a good one to notify. Is that your friend Steve-O?

I consider this to be a total blow if true. Last year it seemed like MTVu was the main attraction and that 90% of the excitement that went on during the day, was held by them. I was so pumped and excited bc they were coming back. Now, I'm taken back a little and don't feel so confident that this spring break will outdo last years...

Yeah, Jason Rzepka is who I talked to. He didn't give me much in the way of why they chose not to be in PCB, he just said they're gonna be in Cancun instead.

Whoa, this changes the hype of the trip for some people by ALOT....i'm afraid to tell my friends cuz they will throw a complete **** fit...
