Don't know if this would work for everybody but it sure as hell worked for me. I called the hotel I was staying at and asked them If i could book it for a couple extra days and of course they agreed to take my money and all that good ****. So by staying a couple extra days they lowered our room rate by about $70 a night.. But after some buddies found out they couldn't get off work early I had to call and change it back and the women didn't know that we got the discount before; so we just saved about $350 on a hotel room... Thats like 18 extra cases of beer... I'm now even more jacked about spring break...

This year will be my 5th trip to PCB, so I've seen it all! I dont know if anyone mentioned this.... but here are a few tips I have:
1.If you are under 21 and want alcohol.... find someone at home to buy it and bring it with you (especially if your a guy).Otherwise you may end up asking an undercover officer, and thats no fun! 2. If your hotel room doesn't have a fridge (or one big enough) pick up a styrofoam cooler before you head down. The little shops on the strip sell them, but are way over priced and wal-mart is usually out before you think to go buy one. 3. Remember that if you buy a pass for a club that has specials on certain nights, think about all of the other people that bought the same pass. It could be crowed early on and the free drinks may take a long time to get. 4. If you aren't a fan of large crowds, stay away from the super clubs. Find the smaller bars. No matter where you go, you'll have a good time and smaller places tend to have little or no cover charge! 5. Pier park is new (wasn't complete last spring break) and its a couple miles down from places like la vela.... but its nice. Decent shopping and good restarants. 6. If you're not all about drinking all day everyday, there is a ripley's believe it or not that is actually pretty cool (discounts available from their website). 7. If you are in a big group, don't be afraid to split up. trying to make 8 people happy at once is very tough! Go to different clubs and eat dinner separately. It may save a friendship! 8. If a friend disappears... set up a time when you call/text and make sure they are ok.... its cool to let your friends disappear with strangers when they want to hook up, but no one wants a call from the cops saying they found your friend trashed in some locals yard 9. One random thing I thought was cool was TruTV (formerly court tv). They have a show called Ocean Force. It follows cops at different beaches and shows people get arrested. They usually show one on PCB starting about now from the previous year. Its funny b/c you see a bunch of drunk underage people get in trouble for stupid stuff. You may also catch a glimpse of someone you know. Not to mention when you get pulled over by a cop and say "hey I saw you on TV". Ha ha Thats all for now! I have tons of tips for the spring breaker on a budget (especially in these times of economic hardship) Message me if you have any questions or wanna meet up down there!! |

So I went down last year during a peak week for spring break and had a blast. This year me and some friends are going from the 21st to 28th... There will be a lot less people then... So are the off weeks still a blasty blast?

There really won't be a lot less people...There will actually probably be a little more than peak week if you ask me. A lot of Universities closer to PCB get out for SB during your week. I'm pretty sure Auburn and several other schools are on that list, and they all flock to PCB since it is so close...

Ok thats cool... my only other question... We are booked at the Sandpiper Beacon... I see its a few miles away from the main hotels and its too late to cancel... Is that a normally a good hangout?
