Liquor

The liquor store in the front of Walmart is the only place you should buy liquor down there. The prices are more reasonable there.

Jseales...You posts are really helping me plan out my trip in a rather scary way. I have a bunch of friends that have no opinion on anything so I was left to make all of the decisions which your posts have helped me to do tremendously. Now for my question which I think I have the answer for. I will be taking my vacation to PCB the week of March 29-April 5th. Should I plan on a rather uneventful week or will my partying capabilities still be the same as previous weeks? University of Delaware has a majorly screwed up schedule and this is the reason of the late break. Please advise!

That week will still be spring break but it wont be anything near as crazy as the two weeks before. I'm sure you will still have a good time but not the best possible.

Like Erock said, there won't be as many people there, but I promise there will be plenty of people there still. The strip will still be packed, and the clubs will still be busy. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks for the information guys, I was hopin to hear it was still gonna be packed but pretty much knew otherwise that it wasn't going to be as busy which is a little bit of a blow but I will make the best out of it I am sure. I was considering the Days Inn, but since I have stumbled upon this forum I have been hearing nothing about the Days Inn for partying and everything about the Chateau and the Boardwalk, should I book one of these hotels instead?

No problem man, welcome to the forums BTW. And yea I'd look into one of the others. The Chateau is always a winner in my book.

What do the big hotels like the sunspree and boardwalk do?

They both host all kinds of contest, parties etc.

The Holiday Inn Sunspree will have a DJ spinning it 24/7 around the pool area along with a really sick party plus they host swimsuit/wet t-shirt contests and have all kinds of games out on the beach front.

The Boardwalk (hotel area, not the condos) also hosts contests and games. I dont know exactly what its going to be like this year since MTVU is taking over the scene but I'm sure it will be a major party scene as well.

Personally I don't care for MTV and doubt if I'll attend any of their events but I'm happy of the turnout they will bring to PCB.

DL, I was asking if when I reserved the room lets say for the week....was it all charged at once? Like most places take a one or two night deposit on your card...sometimes non-refundable. I was more less wondering about that.

The events on the beach are good to know too.

Anyways I looked it up, most places charge a one or two night non-refundable charge to your card along with the security deposit if you are under 25. So you don't pay for your whole stay until you arrive, which is good for most of us spring breakers because we either A) won't have all the money yet, or B) We won't have collected it from our broke *** friends until probably right before we leave...B being the one that applies to me, I'll probably have the 1,500 for the room for the week...but will my friends have given their share to me, oh, that might take some doing.

The Chateau I just found out upon booking only charges the first nights rate to your card, not the security deposit. You pay the security deposit and the remainder for this particular hotel at check in, so I am officially booked for Spring Break 08, only problem is I still have over 60 days to wait for this chaos, needless to say it will be the only thing I think of untill I get back from the trip and my job is taking the back seat to all of my planning and day dreaming, tsk tsk.

Yea, you got an strategies on that one?

I hate being the money collector, but an unfortunate truth is that, when you are the planner you are also the money collector.

Oh, also do you think I'll need a rent-a-car? How far away from the Airport are all the hotels? How far away is wal-mart?
