beach bonfire

are fires legal on the beach in pcb? i know a lot of beaches issue permits for certain days when wind is low. anyone know the pcb policy. it'd be tight if we could get a beach fire going. last summer i was at the beach we all had a big fire, drank hard and got naked in the ocean. it was wild, but i bet we could top it at spring break with 50,000. see how many nudists we could get....

Clearly a good policy. Open flames + thousands of insanely drunk people = very bad idea.

Plus it makes a huge mess on our purty white beaches.

Reminds me of the year MTV was here and Aerosmith & STP were in concert at La Vela. There were more ppl on thebeach behind the club than in it. After the concert, a few ppl thought it would be cool to pile up all the wooden beach chairs and set them on fire. The flames were a good 40 feet high when the fire dept and police arrived. They were arresting anyone that didn't leave immediately.

Back in the day, you could get away with a small fire... nothing big... but now they will find you and arrest you in a hurry.

Oh to live back in the day Plus, people have a difficult enough time picking up their trash much less burning logs and fire pits. When responsibility decreases so does freedom, unfortunately.
