I know this isn't a cancun forum, but I figured I'd try here...

My friends and I are planning a trip and we have no idea what hotel to stay at.

How important is where on the strip you stay? We're looking at some places that are away from what seems to be the epicenter (the Oasis Cancun area).

We're looking at the Oasis Cancun, Oasis Palm Beach, Fiesta Americana Cancun, Omni and ME.

Any info would be appreciated.

The Oasis is a big party hotel, but it's far from the clubs. When I went, we stayed at the Flamingo Cancun, and it was decent. It was across the street from Pat O'Briens and a short bus ride from everything else. I had friends who stayed at the Krystal and liked it because it was right in the middle of everything. Also I heard the Avalon Grand is a nice resort near everything. We almost stayed there but found a better deal at the Flamingo.

well, this is my 4th time to cancun this year, and just remember this! Its not knowing WHERE to stay, but rather WHERE to party! During the day, hit up the oasis for the party, at night, pretty much every club will be packed!! Enjoy
