Underage drinking at clubs

quick question about the clubs down there, including La Vela's. First off, Im going to PCB next week (feb. 24 - march 3) with all people over 21, and was wondering how strict they are about passing drinks to me. Secondly, how do they mark those that are not 21, wiht a stamp or wrist band?... From what I heard they dont allow those under 21 to re-enter, meaning that Im either gonna have to pay the ridiculous cover, or somehow find a way for other people to pass me drinks.

Btw, is that week even really taht busy down there?

It'll be easy to get someone to buy you drinks. However, you may end up being thrown out. Bouncers look for that. And it's true that you have to pay to re-enter the major clubs if you're under 21.

dude, almost every club everywhere is pretty strict about passing minors drinks. Sure some places are easier than others, but this is gonna be spring break, they are not gonna screw around. Only you can make the decision that is right for your situation, if you think you're that sly do what you want.

I keep hearing fake IDs wont work.

Thing is I make my own so I think ill just make a few and see how it goes.

I need to be 25 to check in. I'm sure I can at lest fool the hotel. Then I'll be 21 for the bars.

hotels easy to fool, they probably won't even check, bars, depends on how tough they want to be, if they check the updated books, you'll probably be screwed, but maybe not depending on how good your forgeries are and the security checks the states have in place. I think Nebraska's IDs are extremely tough to fake now, but most other states away from here wouldn't even know.

Most clubs in manhattan have bouncers eyeing the people around the bars to see if you pass your drinks off to anyone. Good luck doing it in Panama City Beach... no club/bar is going to want to lose their liquor license because of some drunken underager.

Good luck!

I know spinnaker is very good at watching people pass drinks to minors. I few years ago when we went one of our buddies was underage and he got a couple of us thrown out for passing drinks within our first 10 mins there.

the passing of drinks to minors is a very bad idea. they are watching that big time and they usually throw the minor out and the person that gave them the drink. i have always been 21 when i went but i know it gets aggervating when someone in your crowd gets caught under age drinking cause everyone in your group has to leave the bar if u drove and it sucks. and for fake ids, the guys checking the ids get paid extra money for every fake they collect that night, so good luck cause they are hawk eyeing the hell out of them.

I've been thrown out of Harpoon Harry's for drinking underage. 2 of my friends have been thrown out of LaVela for drinking underage. They watch like hawks down there. Fake IDs will not work. Harpoon Harry's and Latitudes allow re-entry for people under 21, the rest of the clubs don't. My advice is to pre-drink, but if you must drink in the club, a flask is your best bet. You can give passing drinks a try, but you have a slim chance of pulling it off. Hammerhead Fred's and Harpoon Harry's are the easiest to get away with drinking underage. I have been caught at Harry's though.

that is your best bet, but if you get caught you lose the ID and could go to jail for impersonating someone and I think that crap got more serious after the terrorists used fake IDs

2 times last year i saw people getting false identification tickets during spring break. i dont know about down there but i know a girl that got one here in oxford mississippi and it ran her 690 bucks. and it stays on her record for 7 years. im just saying that your more likely to have this happen in pcb than where your from so be careful. i would just pregame it real hard and take a flask for when u go to use the restroom.

If they want to be tough about it, fakes can get you into A LOT of trouble. I know a kid who went to SB in San Diego and got his Id taken, went to jail for the night, got his license suspended for a year and got 6 months probation. Not trying to scare you, just trying to tell you what could happen.

Thing is making an ID is a felony (at least in NY), but if you use a real ID, and it's just not you, I'd say it's more likely to A) work and B) if it doesn't not get you into as much trouble.

You should be cool with fooling the hotel, but watch out at those bars. And if you pass drinks, make sure you have a cup and they just dump thier cup into yours, don't take thier cup and obviously don't be super conspicuous about it.

I have to agree with everyone here. In addition to what everyone is saying, even if you get away with being passed a drink...once you get drunk, you will bring more attention to yourself. Most 18 and 19 year olds start acting "their age" once they get drunk, no matter how mature they are. I'm not trying to be a smart ***. I've just seen it happen quite a few times before.
