here's the question, my friends and I will be staying at the Chateau from the 17th to the 24th, and we will obviously need lots of beer and liquor etc etc. Is there any place within walking distance? I mean, ideally we would probably want to carry back at least a couple 30s each, and walking too far with said items would not be enjoyable.

I have heard that there are liquor stores on the strip, but I don't know if that's going to cover you for beers.

Our plan is to take a cab or try and get a ride to Walmart to stock up.

ya that may be the way to go, i just dont want to sit in the traffic with the meter ticking away

Hey whats up everyone? I am loving all of the posts on here and hating them at the same time. Im stuck here at school with mid-terms and homework to do but cant get away from reading all of the great things that will be going on while we are down there. Im rollin in all the way from Albuquerque, NM, with some buddies from CO, and NY from the 10-16. We are staying at the Boardwalk. Anyone know how that place is? Anyone wanna party it up let me know. I hear you. I agree. Someone on here told me that if you get around during the day you can get a cab and drive pretty easily. we get in around noon, so I'm going to try and get over there early so as to avoid that.

Price you pay to stock up I guess.

I was told that there was a liquor store across the street from my hotel (Days Inn), not sure if that's true or not. The people and I that are riding down together are coming with 5 cases and 4 handles so far that we've accumulated so we'll have a nice party to kick things off :).

Yeah I stayed there last year. There is a gas station and a liquor store all within walking distance. I believe they are both right across the street from Days Inn like hoosier said.

Where is the closest place to The Summit to get alcohol? We need a close location to get kegs filled up. Wal Mart seems like quite the hike.

Ms. Newby's has package liquor and beer, I don't know if they sell kegs or how much they charge for them. It's 1 1/2 blocks away from the summit.

OK, thanks Gomer. We may just have to try and get up and beat the rush of traffic in the mornings and just get kegs filled at Wal Mart.

The best place to get your Keg filled is Wal-Mart, but there are gas stations every two/three blocks on the strip.... Each one sells beer!!!!! There is a gas station across the street from Edgewater (next to Holiday Inn)..... There are not to many liquor stores (just liquor) on the stip, they are all mixed stores!!!!!

Should rent a car, or hitch a ride from a hot chick :)

Ok so me and my friend thought about ourselves AND THE LADIES!!! We're bringing 3 cases of budlight a piece. We have the stuff to make; Wet Pussies, Finger Me Good's and Buttery Nipples! All of which the ladies love! We have some jim beam and coke! Black Velvet (knock off of crown but tastes EXACTLY the same) and tons of other things for the room! NOW WATCH!! We're going to be drinking it all alone haha!
