If you are 25 yo, or older, I would mos def stay at the TOG even though they don't have a balcony, the rooms are spacious enough, and you are right in the heart of the action for 1/2 the price of the BW. |

Sorry I haven't stayed at either of these places, and I don't really know anyone who has. I was looking at the Top of the Gulf a little bit. The location is good and the prices are almost too good to pass on. I wouldn't like not having a balcony though. I think the Edgewater is quite a bit nicer, but I'm sure prices are quite a bit higher also. I'm afraid to stay at the Top of the Gulf just because I know it isn't a big spring break hotel. Hotel atmosphere is a huge plus, so I'd like to be where Spring Breakers are. We had friends staying at the Long Beach last year, and they were a the Boardwalk with us everyday because their hotel was full of old people. That's something you have to watch out for. Panama City Beach is a retirement hot spot also. A lot of old people come down for the winter and are still there come March. The smart ones get the heck out by the end of February, so they don't have to put up with drunk college kids. Some of the resorts are still packed with them though. I try to steer clear of those places if possible.

Ive stayed at the Boardwalk 4 times befoer but this year had people coming with that didnt wanna pay that much so we booked top of the gulf.......didnt know I was gonna have to pay to park but it better not be $10 every day or that might get annoying.......id prefer to have a blacony also but I think we paid like $750 for the week so thats super cheap............anyone know if they give you wristbands there or if its a problem bringing people back?

The info for these condos says that you can park one car. Anymore than that is $15. But I don't know for real. It's my first year going and staying there too.
