yah, it's an underused tool -- but a good one..
you've obviously been getting some rep points from readers since you have 3 green blocks under your name. (I know I've given you +1 before for some of your posts).

along with number of posts, the rep points help readers decide how much "faith" to put in any particular post. If I'm reading a post from someone with lots of green blocks, I tend to take them more serious/credible than someone with 4 posts and no reputation points... it's pretty cool -- it'd be even cooler if everyone knew how to use it.

the spammer clown with the REd box under his name is a warning to all..
