So I looked into plane fares to Fort Walton vs Panama city, and it's about half the price round trip.

My question is, would it be easy for me to find transportation for the 1-hour drive to PCB without a rental? I'll be 20 at the beginning of the week, so I'm sure I wouldn't be able to get a rental.

Yup, I'm flying into VPS on March 12. I called the cab company in the area, and they said that a cab to PCB will cost $120.

On a related note, is anyone else flying into VPS on the 12th and wants to share a ride?

Or, is anyone gonna be driving through VPS on the way to PCB, and wants me and my girlfriend to throw them some cash for a ride?

That's FT.Walton, I too looked into this situation, and I decided it was just easier to pay the extra $130 for the plane ticket upfront rather than for me to drive to Jersey, and then drive from FT.Walton to PCB. In my eye it simply wasn't worth it. Instead, I am leaving on a Wednesday now(and coming back on a Wednesday) that saved me huge on plane fare.

Now, what exactly would I do if I was in FT.Walton either a split a cab van to PCB, try to cram as many kids in as possible or...get one of your older friends to rent you a car...or...just pay alittle extra and get it straight into PCB. You could always just jump in the ocean and swim to PC beach...

Maybe they have some kind of greyhound bus or something that is routed to PCB cause that would be a pain to use a cab im sure.

Good idea, DL...checked greyhound...it's $38 round-trip from Ft.Walton to PCB...take alittle over an hour...bus leaves at noon both times(leave/return). Greyhound station is close to airport.

Fumus, after only 3 or 4 days of posting on this forum, I have come to two conclussions. Next year we do this trip together so if we are put into this situation of planning again we atleast know the both of us have good ideas as what we need and want to do! Also, maybe we need to be travel agents due to the amount of research we put in we could be pretty good at it, specializing in PCB SB!
