Icon7 First Time to PCB...my check list

okay well.... 2008 is going to be my first time to spring break in pcb....I've read the forums for the last couple of months and seen them grow day by day.... From you all I would just like some feed back on anything im missing or might need to make it a better trip.

Me and 5 of my buddies are staying at the Hoilday inn Sunspree from the 10th-24th....and im trying to make a trip to remember....

Were all meeting up the 9th of march and will start drinking until its time to go to the airport....

My list to bring with you for 2 weeks (fill free to add anything in a reply if u think i missed something)

Cash :I told my friends they would need about 800-1000 dollars to spend while they were up there... and yes we all will have panamanic party cards.... is this too much too little ? 2 weeks ?

just something to follow

shirts 10x or more +
tank tops 5x or more+
dress shirts 5x or more+
pants 5x jeans 2x other or more+
shorts 3x or more+
trunks 3x or more+
jackets 2x or more+
shoes : 2 pair reg. 1 pair dress shoes, sandals 2 or more
socks : 10 pair
sunglasses
hats if you want
Dress to Impress the whole trip

Condoms: bringing couple boxes you never know ( 2 weeks)

Party beads ( dont know if girls flash down in pcb but im bringing 12 dozen of them just in case )

Stuff we will buy when we get there

1. Beer and hard A ....lots of it
2. Gatorade
3. Water
4. munchies
5. sunscreen
6. a radio
7. football
8. beer bong
9. maybe some kind of medicine for hangovers
10. anything else ?

Our plane leaves Los Angeles at 1am on the 10th of march and we should arrive at pcb around 11am...

I still dont know if we should rent a van???? We will indeed be wasted the whole time so is it worth renting a van to get around town if were stay at the holiday innn????? Can we walk to get beer and to all the parties ??? Do they rent cars to people under 25 in pcb????

What club should we hit up first for a the first night out.... I was thinking La veLA...????

If I wanted to get a keg for the beach do i need to call them like now so they will hold it for me?

please let me know what you think

see ya at the tripsmarter party !

Sounds like you are all set. Money wise I would say you should be good. But maybe someone else could give you a better answer. And if you're flying into PC I suggest getting all your stuff from the wal mart near the airport ( 1 trip and its a lot cheaper then beach prices I believe). I think the one on 23rd street even sells beer.

I can't remember exactly where the Hoilday inn Sunspree is. If It's where I'm thinking, then it's about 2 miles away from La Vela and all that.

Not sure about car rentals. I'd call and ask.

As for clubs. I'd say La Vela is the best one around. It's got everything from Hip Hop to underground. Live bands etc. But be sure to try them all if you can.

rent a car for like a day so you can get all your stuff in one day it will be much easier.

roll your clothes instead of folding them it saves tons of room and you don't get wrinkles. check to see if there is a laundry mat at holiday inn. that way you don't have to pack as much.

what is you room situation like? if you have a mini fridge and microwave, get lots of soup and sandwiches. if you have a full kitchen make meals you save lots of money that way.
take buses whenever possible cabs get expensive.

get to bars early and tip big the first time, you'll save in the end (unlike most places bartenders are actually pretty friendly and remember your face). drink hard early so that you don't spend too much at the bar. most people can only metabolize one drink an hr so if you have more than 8 don't worry about losing your buzz

You can rent a car if you're under 25, they'll just charge you an extra twenty to twenty-five bucks a day

Where in SoCal are you from? I'm from Dana Point (down by Laguna Beach in South OC)

Yea, I don't know about $800-$1000 but then again you are going to be there for 2 weeks. I'd prefer not to come broke, must of the fun I will be having will be free, and by free I mean drunk, so I'm budgeting about $300-500 for my week...I'd say that's about on par with what you've got.

My checklist is sumtin like this:
Clothes:
- 10 shirts I can wear out
- 10 shirts for loungin', dinner, perusin'
- 10 Wife Beaters
- 6 Pants I can wear out
- 6 pairs of shorts
- 3 Bathing suits
- 3 pairs of athletic shorts
- 2 Belts, Punk/Rockstar stud belt, Black leather belt
- Dress shoes for going out(Kenneth Cole Reaction)
- Skate shoes, DVS and ES's for chillin
- Doc Marten Sandals
- Claddagh Ring(facing out)
- My crazy rockstar leather/stud braclets
- 14 pairs of socks/underwear(my rule is always to double the amount that you will need...when you are by the pool and beach all day, sh*t always gets wet)
- Aviator sunglasses
- Two Digital Cameras(Why 2? In case one gets broken/stolen, sh*t happens, 6 gigs of mem)
- iPhone
- Wallet
- Keys
- Saab 92x Aero(my car)

I will probably bring like a 30 rack with me, just because the day I get there I probably won't have time to go to Wal-Mart. I know Panic at the Disco will be playing that day. So that being said, when I stop at Wal-Mart I will need to get:

-Advil
-Food(munchies, breakfast cereal(which we all know can be eaten any time of day), milk, whatever else I feel like eating)
-Beer
-Sunscreen
-Ice
-Blender to return at the end of the week
-Rum
-Pina Colada and Strawberry Dacari Mix for making Miami Vices

Not quite sure when, but the 23rd Street Wal-Mart will be closing soon...

So if its not there when you go, dont be surprised...

On Front Beach.. Yeah, They make a killing there, they would not close that place in a million years, they were however going to relocate it to back-beach and it was going to be a two-story wal-mart one of the largest in the nation... They still might...

Who knows...
