okay, i booked a week at the Boardwalk through the hotel (march 10-16). can i still kick it at the village or what? MTVU is saying that if you buy through studentcity, you stay at the village and get free concert tickets, vip passes, etc... the works. but they didnt say if you get the same treatment leavin out the middle man.

if you booked at the hotel directly, they are putting you in the OTHER building, not the mtvU village hotel! I am a manager for studentcity, its impossible to leave out the middle man so to speak. As you can only book the MtvU village through us! You will still have access to the village and stuff, just not vip passes or anything like that.

you say that the only way to get in on it is to book through studentcity. now, I know they arent affiliated with studentcity or MtvU...which is really irrelevant since they arent offering the same 'insider' deal. they are basically saying that just by staying with the boardwalk hotel you get the same ball wash action as studentcity bookers.

Um...I don't even know what the mtv village is...and honestly dude, who cares.

Yea, I said who f*ck cares?! As long as you are at the boardwalk, then you are in action. That's all you can ask for, the concerts are free to everyone. VIP passes? Again, have you seen what these concerts look like it's a mass of people squishing their way to the front of a stage, I'll be sure to check the kid's bracelet infront of me before I peal them off the barricade.

Also, Scott, who are all these people that you are thinking are going to be there? There might be some celebs, but I think aside from the acts that are scheduled to perform it's mostly going to MTV reality TV stars, and such...

Anyways, dude, to summarize you are in the right place if you stay the boardwalk. If only the 200 kids(if that much) that booked with student city are allowed access to certain areas, why would you wanna be there anyways...no one is going to be there. On spring break you want to be where the party is, and that's gonna be with everyone else ;)

trust me dude...I booked in November and i got a good deal. Its only like a little over 500 a person. Thats about 70 a night. I would like to have a few extra perks but if not then i will still have a blast. Student city might be a rip off. But i have my room and im ready to go. Its a good hotel. I have stayed there before.

I've been thinking, though. whats MtvU got that i dont have?? maybe a huge budget and the right contacts.. but ive got you guys... and ive got HEART. i would like to propose a plan for your consideration. lets sandbag the village and start our own spring break estate in the 'other' boardwalk building AND BEYOND! this could be huge. we dont have to compete with the stage performances but we can sure as hell put the village to shame. i introduce, to you, BOOM TOWN. reaking hovok (the non-violent, alcohol induced kind) all over panama city beach. the first step to establishing your unofficial membership is to make a t-shirt. if you want to tie the knot and make it official, just come show your support and make it the place to be! boom town is kind of gay so im taking suggestions. lets get the ball rolling and show them we dont need VIP passes because WE ARE VIP B****!

Im going to have to stop down at the Boardwalk this year and see how much this place as changed.....I stayed there 4 years in a row and didnt come last year cause my gf and I went somewhere else together......Never did we pay more than $200 a person to stay at the Boardwalk and thats why this year there was no way in hell we were gonna pay more than $300.....In years past if u watted till the end of Jan/beg of Feb they went on sale and could get them for like $700 for the week. Anything over $300 for the boardwalk is a rip off unless you are going with under 6 ppl even though that is my favorite place by far

I've stayed at the chateau twice... simply because i was under 21 and could get away with murder over there. They charge a lot less on that side yea but screw goin to Harpoon Harrys every night cuz that's the only thing close. I'm sure the mtv hype has bumped the price up a lil this year as well... I'll gladly pay 300 for a good time and nooooo driving though! At least I didn't pay the 500 for the village rooms!! Crazzzzzy
