I stayed at the Boardwalk condos last year, and I loved it. They were nice condos, and the location is unbeatable. It's right next to LaVela and Spinnaker and a very short walk to Hammerhead Freds. No issues getting guests into the condos. We had people up to our condo every night.
In the past, I stayed at the Chateau a few times and loved that too. I think the main reason is it's right next to Harpoon Harry's and Latitudes. Also, security is very laid back here. You can bring whoever you want into the hotel. Pretty much anything goes at the Chateau. We drank in and around the pool without problem, lots of loud music going on, and partying all hours of the night. It's a total party atmosphere. I especially recommend this hotel for people under 21. We would go get our hand stamped at Harpoon Harry's or Latitudes and go back to the room and drink. Then go back to the club. When the buzz wore off, we'd just run back to the room, do a few shots and walk back into the club. It was ideal. Most other clubs don't allow free re-entry for people under 21. The Chateau definitely isn't the classiest joint around, but it's a lot of fun there. I also stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree a few years back. I did not like it there near as much as the other two places I stayed. First off, it seems to be very overpriced. Also it's a long walk to any of the clubs from here. It's just not nearby anything which sucks. The security is pretty tight here which means no guests. It's pretty close to impossible to sneak anyone in too. You can try to pay someone off, but that's about the only way it's gonna happen. That being said, the place is huge and it's usually bumpin'. It shouldn't be hard to meet enough people at the Holiday Inn to party with and keep you occupied. The beach is usually quite busy behind here too, so that's cool. It's not a horrible hotel, I would just choose the Chateau or Boardwalk before I would stay here again. |

So I have only stayed at the chateau so my opinion is biased...But...Like STEVE-O said if you are under 21 this is the place to be. You can't beat the price, the security is only there at night and they are local pcb officers that could care less what you do because they are being paid to stand around and watch drunks having fun all night...the pool is all right but they don't have a hot tub. The rooms which you are in maybe an hour during the day are ok..i mean lets put it this way there arent any rats running around! A negative would be the Jack*****'s that bring a huge stereo and blast it from the balcony all day playing the same cd over and over again...a few footballs onto the balcony might help you with this problem. Location... umm, you are gonna hang at Harpoon Harry's A LOT...It's a pain trying to get to thomas drive at night. The beach during the day is cool.. my advice.. build a sand couch, slap a keg in the middle of it,steal a couple of the blue umbrellas from the rental guys and lounge the entire day. I'm at the BW this year so i'm crossin my fingers....

stayed at casa loma last year. not the greatest (or cleanest) rooms, but security was cool as hell and let us party and play BP right on the back porch. only thing they cared about was having hard alcohol...had to be hidden in the room, or in red cups. didnt care about loud music at all. not great beach scene, but...
we partied over at days inn, that was pretty sweet. great beach scene. chateau seemed alright, good beach scene. |
