The only complaint I think most people have are the ratios. Well not so much of a complaint for the girls but more for us

Nah it's not that bad. Posh is to your left once you enter the front door. Just look for the steps going down. The Underground / Space / Night gallery are all downstairs. (Behind the waterfall on the pool deck or go down the stairs in the rock arena.) Thunderdome is past the double doors on the porch. Rock Arena and PK are to the right of the TD. Karma (Up the stairs) and Darkroom (backside through the double doors ) can be found in the thunder dome. And of course you can't miss the pool deck ha

I agree. I like most of the rooms in La Vela. But underground and Posh are my favs. Thou I am more into the sitting back relaxing while talking to someone, then I am dancing.

Yeah I'm the same way. I'll chill in one area listening to rap, the next I am off for some techno then jamming to some rock! One great thing about PCB is the different styles of music you'll find at all the different places.

La Vela is THE best for all different types of music. every club has its own theme and own music

I just don't like the ghetto atmosphere and the fact there are zero girls, and I mean 7/1 guys to girls......If you were a girl, yeah im sure you would love it, I also think the place is a dump

I don't understand how everyone says the girl to guy is all that bad. I will give you there are more guys then females. But 7/1 is a little over the top. Maybe 3/1 or even 2/1. But I've never had a problem meeting females in that place or any on the beach really. But trust me, La Vela does everything it can to get more ladies there.

The ghetto atmosphere is another thing based on the night I guess. (Little boosie concert was horrible) But it's why La Vela trys to crack down on what a person can wear. During spring break you have to let a lot more slide thou. But I've seen people turned away because their pants were too baggy, shirt wasn't tucked in (Too long) etc.

And I'll agree the place is run down. But the PK is all new and remodeled. The thunderdome is being remodeled this year. (I'm up in PA for the holidays so I haven't seen or heard much about that yet) It's a work in progress I guess. **** does need some fixing thou, I'll give ya that.

I am 100% with Jsmitty here. Maybe it was the night we went, but the ratio of 7/1 was being generous...maybe VERY generous. I am sure it's not like that every night, but when that is a guy's first impression.......

I agree, I don't care for La Vela. Went there my first year to PCB 2 years ago and was not impressed. We left after 30 minutes and went back to the pool and drank. Much more fun

why is it some places seem to be a magnet for sausage and others not you would think it would be even. in Cancun the sausage fests where always when a live hip hop act was on.

I've always noticed that when we paid attention to the itinerary on the back of the "panamaniac" card, that it seems to be sausage fests. But if you goto a diff. place that night you get into a better ratio. Sure you might have to pay a few extra $'s but it's worth it.
