For booze-
Since I am heading down solo and taking a cab to the Boardwalk, I would get stuck paying a cab ( and making several trips ) to get it to the condo. Is there anything really close? I don't mind paying extra for the convenience........
ideas?

As of two years ago Walmart was the closest thing to the Boardwalk. I didnt go last year so unless something new opened walmart will be the closest to you. Ms. Newsby's is down the road a ways, but if you dont want a cab you can easily walk to walmart.

Thanks for the reply bro...I guess I'll just have to suck it up and pay the cab...I just heard horror stories of hour long traffic and what not around the area..
I would need a mule to carry everything back if I walked it.... I never show up at a party empty handed!

is there anywhere to buy liquor near the BW? I'll probably just end up stopping on the way to PCB from the airport, since it'll be less crowded and probably cheaper

Walmart or Ms. Newby's are about the closest. Theres always gas stations you can stop at and grab some beer on the way through town and other stores.

I guess it just makes more sense to pay the cab to wait on the way back to the boardwalk- but if not you just found a guy who's staying at the Boardwalk and taking a cab to the liquor store..

they sell liquor at WalMart? That's awesome! I thought that the owners were too religious or something to offer liquor. I know WalMarts out here in CA don't have liquor.

The liquor store is attached to the Walmart but you have to walk outside of Walmart to enter it. And they sell kegs inside Walmart.

It's cool, I figured so. It got pretty nasty out around 11 this morning. Which works for me because I get to leave work 2 hours early now.

If i was you, i would walk to walmart and buy a cheap back pack so after you get the alcohol u could just toss it in there so u don't have to carry it and it would prob. be cheaper too. (it's what we illinois boys do when we party hop.)
