I figured some of us "vets" could lend some tips on how to keep some of the newbies out of trouble...and make sure they have the best time they can. So, if anyone else has any advice, post away.

Fellas...this one's for you...if you like half-naked women...hang out at La Vela during the day. They start contests around 3pm or so, but they open up around noon so that the girls get good and drunk by the time the contests start. I've even seen the activities spill out onto the beach once the contests were over. Fair warning...you may not see any of the "good stuff" at a La Vela contest. As long as it's outside, the girls are not allowed to show anything. It doesn't mean they don't try though. :) Don't take your camcorder though...you might get sent back to the car to put it up.

We say this every year...but fake id's...not such a good idea. They are trained to spot them. The most you'll get is embarrassed...and have it taken from you. Even if you LOOK like your best friend, and want to use his ID...the bouncer will spot that your eyebrows are thicker than the eyebrows on the ID. That's how thorough they check. Not saying it's impossible to get away with...it just might be tricky.


Unless you LIKE sitting in traffic and taking 2 hours to drive 2 miles...don't take the main road during the peak times of the day, and certain times at night. Get familiar with the back roads.

Yeah for those women, I learned when I was 18 that running around in the middle of the street ISN'T a good idea if cops are right next to you. Got in trouble for that one. Also got a ticket for people hanging out the windows of my car.

Ha ha...yup. I learned that spring break wasn't the wild nude fest that I had heard it was, cuz cops are all over the place waiting for you to mess up!

Oh yeah...ladies...DON'T be afraid to get on the stripper pole in La Vela. :P

There are plenty of people willing to show some ****..... you just have to be smart about it and keep an eye out for the five-oh.

+1 on this. Just make sure no cops are around. There are times on the strip where they are no where to be found, then theres times where you think they are no where to be found, but you are really just to drunk to see them about 3 cars ahead of you.

And for the guy who asked, +1 means you agree. Its commonly used on most forums.

+1 means I agree and often it means I gave you some rep. If you goto your user control panel, it'll tell you who's given you rep points, and for which post along with any comments they may have made.
