Hi all,

New to the forums here and I have been reading up before my trip from Orlando to PCB tomorrow. Everything I've been seeing is that bouncers at clubs are real strict with IDs, and they make people smile and such to try to match the picture.

What if I have a real fake? Meaning one that is actually my name (that I can use my credit card to prove the name) and my actual picture? It's a NY ID, and it has never failed, but I don't believe it scans. I'll be 21 in August and my ID says I'm 22, so it isn't that much of a difference. I's just like to get some opinions on this so I can make a decision on whether or not to use it.

I think it will work for sure, in years past i dont remember anyplace there that scan's ids....esp since u have other forms of id like a credit card....use it

"legit" fake ID... that's an oxymoron, isn't it?

Oxymoron it is, but I couldn't think of a better way of putting it.

So I did a search again and a lot of posts say that they tend to check if the ID is legit more than to check if it is actually you. Can someone let me know as to what they check for? I really don't think I'm going to use it.

All I can really say is that bouncers here will be looking much harder at IDs than what you're probably used to back home.

ATF and FDLE send undercovers out heavily during Spring Break and most local businesses respond by really cracking down on IDs and underage drinking.

I've been over 21 for a while now, so maybe someone else with more recent experience can offer advice. Jsmitty's advice is pretty reliable. Some other Spring Break vets should chime in soon....

Yeah, most bouncers here don't care. My ID worked at Disney World, but I was lucky I think. I definitely won't be risking it at the big clubs like La Vela and Spinnakers, but what about some of the smaller ones? I'll be staying at the Twin Palms, to give you a general idea of where I am.

Been a little curious about this myself. By brother is now coming with me and he is only 20. However he has my state ID and uses it locally. It is a real ID and we look identicle in the picture. Any reason you think this would fail? Obviously we would go in at seperate times so as not to be the same person walking in together.

This might be a silly question, but if you're 21, why do you need a fake?

If you have a "legit" fake id then I would try to use it and when I saw legit I mean it better feel exactly like a real one.....I worked the door at a bar back at school for awhile before i started bartending and one thing u can tell right away is if it feels fake......If you paid someone to make this that makes fake id's then id assume its feels normal as long as they are into the busines of making fake's. I have seen the doorman at spinnaker make a girl take out her colored contacts bc they didnt match her ID.....I dont think you will have a problem at all esp since you said the picture on the ID is you and you have credit cards etc to show if they actually asked. I've been down 4 times before and had friends use fakes before that werent their picture but someone who looked like them and it worked everytime.

Someone may be able to say for sure but in the past I don't rememebr any of the bars or clubs scanning ID's to see if they were real....I would actually like some confirmation for sure because my ID doesnt scan because it is cracked

that's awesome news to hear jsmitty, my gf has a really good California fake that blacklights (and it's got her real name on it that matches her credit cards), it just doesn't scan. so as long as they don't try to scan it, we're golden

Just slip the doorman a 20 and he will let you slide.

They bend the Id to see if the picture doesnt change or something too.

Ha ha...the old "will my fake ID work" thread that pops up every year. You should make this a permanent sticky. My answer has always been...

If you're under 21...that means that you have PLENTY of spring breaks to go...so why rush to do something that you can do legally NEXT year? In my opinion, it's not worth the embarrassment if you get caught.
