im 17 and a senior in high school. i have a friends id who is 18 and she looks similar to me (same height, eye color and hair color) but is a little chubbier than me. do you think i can still get into clubs?

Any place that has any clue to what they are doing will catch it.

18+ entry is a policy, 21+ alcohol consumption is a law...in my experience places aren't as tough about letting under 18yo people in a club, it's when under 21yos peeps try to get served alcohol that ids are more closely scrutinized. Bars aren't served fines for admitting under 18yos they are served fines for giving under 21yos alcohol, because that's breaking the law.

Ryann if I were you, I would memorize all the information on the license...address, birthday, etc. So that way if they ask, you will know. Also being that you are a girl, they'll certainly be a little more lenient towards you, than they would be a guy.

I have to agree with Fumus. Where people get caught is when they get inside of the club...and a 17 or 18 year old starts drinking...they begin to "act" 17 or 18 again...bringing attention to his or herself...and ultimately getting kicked out of the club.

Or when a 18 year old tries to pass as 22...it usually doesn't go over too well.

The only place you can get caught is Club La Vela, they are so strict! I was 20 and and they didn't want to let me in the first time. I had to argue with the door man.

La Vela are very picky on IDs...best of luck to you if you want to enter that club...you might wanna try another one before

I also think being a girl might help you, but I read stories over here about a girl having to take her colored lenses to make sure it was her ID and it was a real one...

you can't look perfectly the same as your friend, eyebrows, face shape, eyes, etc... but being under 18 it's this or staying in the room...so just give it a try and keep a B plan in mind
