Whats going on everyone? I hope everyone is having a blast during Spring Break 2008! I stumbled onto this forum not too long ago, and it has been a blessing to say the least.

I have been to PCB the past two years for Spring Break and have always had a blast. Me and a group of 8 will be down April 2nd-7th.

My question is:for 2008, what are the best clubs to go to that specifically play Hip Hop? And if possible, could anyone post a descriptive review of each. (ex: the best nights to go, times, etc.)

Personnally I had a very good time at Hammerhead Fred's foam party on thursdays, I can't compare it to La Vela's one because it was my first spring break. But I had a great experience, and if you plan on going, bring a couple of mardi gras beads with you...I used mine that night lol

I also liked the Spinnaker, very nice, especially if you like rock music. The band was playing covers and it was great! Inside you have the hip hop, really nice place!

Can't be at 2 places at the same time so can't really compare it to the others, but I can tell you that you can't go wrong with these in my opinion!

Thanks again, Im really trying to find out what clubs are hip hop besides Club La Vela.

Not sure about this year since my plane ticket was cancelled but in the past I wouldnt say there is a bar besides lavela that is mostly hip hop....the other bars/clubs really pay a mix like you would hear at a club back home

We hear a lot of good things about Harpoon's Harry.

1- La Vela (ladies night)
2-Spinnaker (awsome place)
3 Hammerhead's Fred and the lengedary Foam party.

This was my 3rd year...I always have the best time at Harpoon Harrys. Thats my fave place...La vela is too expensive and overated...it wasnt at fun as ppl made it out to be. Spinnakers was REALLY fun(what I remember of it) haha I was wasted...and if you want to do a foam party go to hammerhead freds...not la vela. i heard la velas was nasty.

I know Club La Vela has hiphop, but does Spinnaker, Hammerhead Freds, or Harpoon Harry's play hip hop? If so, is it on selected nights?

Well from what I know all clubs play hip-hop music, especially in PCB, not much house music playing there from what I heard,

And you won't here punk rock or heavy metal on a dancefloor

Some clubs also have rock bands (like Spinnaker), but it's in a different part of the club

They all mainly play rap/hip hip....harpoon harrys mixes in some country..some rock...and older rock. thats why i like it. its not just all rap. but since you like rap...id go for spinnakers, the inside. the outside is rock.

The only club that is majority hip hop is the tiki bar at the Sandpiper. DJ Donna.

Harpoon Harry's definitely played a good amount of hip hop, but a lot of it was the current popular songs. The place was a lot of fun tho, especially since I stayed right next door at the Chateau
