I'll vote for ya man..I watched season 1 but if you wanna be on that show aren't you basically saying you have no game and don't know how to talk to ladies?? Thats pretty much what all the first season guys were like.....but tour bus or not i;ll go vote

I wanna know what kind of ladies this "master pickup" artist pulls in...When my friends and I wactch it we all agree there is no way in hell he is getting dime pieces.....this guy dresses like a clown. You can't tell me that he is going to pick up a girl looking like that no matter how much "game" he has

I read The Game by Neil Strauss because of the work he did with his Motley Crue biography "The Dirt."

I found it entertaining, but at the end of the day (being a 42 year old male who has been on more than a few dates and hook-ups)...

Much of The Game is right on track. Women are either looking for a guy with cold, hard cash... or they are looking for a guy who captivates them. If you can captivate them... you don't have to lay out the cash.

Look at all the "wanna-be" and "has-been" celebs who pull down attractive women left and right.

Look at poker star Chris Ferguson who looks like he just walked about of a Bon Jovi video. Actually... he and that Mystery guy don't look too much different. Guys like that have a line around the block of women wanting to say hello.

This thread is way off of tourism... and I have no clue who Jimmy Magic is. Probably just was trying to get more votes to get him on the show.

But at the end of the day... women SAY they want a certain kind of guy (cute, kind, giving and similar) but then run out and HOOK UP WITH every other kind of guy:

The bad boy, the poker player, the guy with authority, the guy with a unique look... everything except what they say they want.

Putting aside my personal experience of the above, those of us in tourism marketing see this every day of the week (because we get to witness people on vacation 365 days a year).

We see women who are hot -- with guys that dress strange, are too tall/short, too fat/thin and beyond. And... these women are all over the guy like there is no one on the face of the earth better.

Is Jimmy Magic probably full of it? Yes

Does being full of it in a calculated way get women interested in you? Every day of the week.

what TedInVegas is saying is legit--the guys with the hottest girls are rarely the "pretty" guys, and there's a lot of times where I think "how the f**k did that guy get that girl."

At the same time, I agree with Josh--that show is absolute bullsh*t. The stuff that these "pickup artists" say is "game" is absolutely weak. They think they're so original for starting a convo with a girl using the cover of "we need a girl's opinion on this"? My girlfriend has random creepy dudes coming up to her 5 times a week trying to use that and other weak lines that these "pickup artists" think they so brilliantly thought up. So until I actually see Mystery or Neil Strauss pick up some hot a** using these weak lines and embarrassing clothing, I'm not buying it. The few girls they have shown them picking up on that show were fugly--and even if they did pick up cute girls on the show, I wouldn't buy it until all cameras and editing were gone. I'd love to see that guy trying to pick up some a** in Harpoon Harry's or Spinnaker, much less Vegas, NY, LA, or Miami

" how the **** did that guy get that girl"....I prolly say that to myself atleast once a day around here......you crack me up man I feel the exact same way I wanna see this game work away from the cameras.....That chubby white kid always used the same line, he would go up to a girl and say something like ......."Hey did you see that fight outside....yea its a couple girls fighting over a guy named George...." Come on now man, there is no way in hell that line is gonna work and I would feel like a complete douche bag even thinking about usuing it.....BUT Mystery taught that to him, thats part of becoming a master pick up artist.......yea right

those lines are like the training wheels of pick-up
once you get the confidence theres no stopping you. these "pick up artists" are basically just showing guys how to be confident men, and thats all you really need

As a woman, I just feel the need to say that pick up lines just don't work. If you come at us with something douchey, then we'll turn tail and run. Of course we'll sleep with the bad boy or someone who's thrilling, but that doesn't mean we want to stick around the next morning. Most of the time, we know what we're getting ourselves into, and a hook-up is really just a hook-up. We want the thrill of bedding someone that's gonna knock our socks off. At the end of the day, though, all we want is someone stable and who loves us... not someone who's throwing stupid lines around. "Lines" don't have staying power. Your personality has to win us over at some point. A simple "Hi, I'm _____________. I saw your (compliment something attractive about her; e.g. bright smile, beautiful eyes, etc.) and just had to introduce myself" shows you're a nice guy not just wanting to poke your dick in her. If you feed a cheesy line right away, then your personality is hidden by some ridiculous fluff.

I think you guys missed the point of the whole conversation starter that mystery guy was telling them about. He gave them examples of stuff that worked, he wasn't saying go use these lines everytime you pick up a girl.

As far as I know they wear that embarrassing clothing to prove a point to the guys they are teaching. A majority of guys that have problems with girls do so because they think they don't have the right look, the right clothes..etc. He was trying to show them if he can pick up girls in his doofy looking clothes, his long *** hair and those stupid ski goggles he wears, then so can they. There's a reason sites like Hot Chicks with Douchebags exists..haha

His whole thing isn't about picking up the hottest *** in the club either. He's not trying to teach them to be pimps, he's just trying to show them how to have success talking to normal girls. Most of them can't even do that.
