Take the Greyhound bus.... Pretty sure tickets are less than $20 per person and they will take you from Valparaiso to PCB. Check out their site.

You didn't say how many people, but (for example) if you have three people coming down, you will save $900 by flying into Ft. Walton (VPS).
You should be able to rent a car for the week at VPS airport for under $300 including taxes and fees. Plus, now you have some wheels during spring break. Even if you use the car just a few times to run to Wal-Mart or a liquor store (or to hit a few things not right on the beach), that is just a bonus. The drive to PCB will be about an hour. From the airport, go over to Niceville and across Mid-Bay bridge. Going through Ft. Walton and (especially) Destin will add time to the trip. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy Destin when you come back in 10 or 20 years for yet another visit. |

Do a web search for
destin airport shuttle or ft. walton beach airport shuttle There are shuttles that go all the way to PCB. You can also call local limo services and see what a town car would cost. Last thing, you can weigh flying into Pensacola (often even cheaper than Ft. Walton) against a shuttle ride that far. The upside is that you get to really see the entire Emerald Coast. The downside is that you are looking at at long ride. |
