Damn, for not being a spring break place, we're getting a decent group going. I also saw a girl on the facebook spring break page saying she had a group staying at long beach.

3rd Tower 8th floor with Trigger

Spring break is already starting. Yesterday, two bus loads of girls checked in at Long Beach Reesort. Our pools and beach are ready. We want all of you to have a good time and not get into trouble. Remember, don't destroy anything, don't throw anything, and behave. Our beach is right in the middle between the clubs and the Sunspree. It is a great place to watch and meet the other spring breakers going to the events. Relax during the day in the sun and go out at night.

For those that are renting from us, I will see you when you come to get your pool passes. For the others, I'll will see you around the pool. Hope your look like you Tripsmarter picture.

The weather is looking great for the next few days. This morning it was already 68 degrees at 7:30 am.

Security Question

Hey guys, what's up?

My friends and myself booked a one bedroom place at long beach (we're arriving the 19th) and there was originally 4 of us but now a couple more of our friends want to come so there could be 6 of us but I'm concerned about showing up with 6 people since the room is only intended for 4 people.

I called the resort today and asked them and the lady I spoke to was all like "no you can't have more than 4 people in your unit...security won't allow it" and she said something about security tags being issued to guests.

So I'm assuming she was just stating the rules but I'm wondering what do you guys think? Especially from people who've stayed at Long Beach during past spring breaks.

Like will they actually have security be checking our unit to make sure there's only 4 of us? I would hope not because that's kind of ridiculous. But if they did would they actually kick us out or something? We're all looking for a good drunken time but we're all very responsible and in no ways want to be having parties in our unit (it's only a one bedroom anyways) so we're going to take care of our place and I doubt we'll cause any noise complaints.

And can someone explain exactly how the security tag deal works? Like when I check in will they only give me 4 tags since they're expecting only 4 of us? If we only get 4 will that mean the extra 2 of us will be screwed for getting into our condo? Like do they have a security desk by the elevators checking who goes up or something? Or can anyone just waltz right in? I heard they definitely have security checking at the pool...will we all need to show security tags or can we get by with only some of us wearing them? I guess this situation applies to having guests too...are we allowed to bring back people not staying at Long Beach? Will security stop them?

Either way, it's not a huge deal if we all can't get into the pool at the same time, but I just want to make sure that 6 of us would be able to get into our room. I wouldn't want to bring 5 of my friends then make 2 of them sleep in the car.

Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

by security tags i assume you mean wristbands, you wont be able to trade them around and they wont allow you to get more than the room is specified for, i think they will kick you out if you get caught with extra people sleeping in your room, this isnt to be jerks, but it has to do with the fire code.

my advice would be to ask some of the other people you meet there if they have extra wrist bands that you can buy from them.

security will stop people without wristbands from entering the hotel, its usually not too hard to evade security and sneak people up, unless your staying at summit or holiday inn sunspree.

You dont geta wrist band at this place, jus pool tags basically just a tag on peice of string lol and apparently you just show this to sucurity one per party and theyll let you in, of course dont overdo it and have 10 people coming in with you haha

Ok well now I'm confused guys cause it seems people are giving very different accounts on what the security situation is actually like at Long Beach.

lakeland_FL...you say that they'll stop people from enterring the hotel if they aren't wearing a wristband. But then Trigger...you say that we won't even be wearing wristbands and we'll just have pool tags which aren't even a big deal.

So how do things really work? If someone who has stayed at Long Beach before for spring break (ideally last year) could inform us of what the situation is really like it would be greatly appreciated.

I want to know for sure before I go so I'm not thinking "oh it might be like this...or it might be like this."

Thanks for the help guys.

And bballrrt06...I have no idea which tower or floor we're on yet. I booked over the phone with the number I got on the resort website and they never said what unit we're in. I should probably call them and find out one of these days haha.

1st of all i stayed there last year and we wore our tags only wen we went to the pool (and yes we did get askd for the pool tags wen we were at the pool/jecuzzi's) .....we walkd in and out threw the front gate and no questions were askdd

2nd - if u drive, u need da window tag on ur car at all times, wen leaving and wen arriving and wen the car is parked, they will tow u if the tag is not on the car....they do not check on how many people are in the car just if the dates are correct

as far as bringing people back, ur fine...it not the summit or the boardwalk or the suspree but remember this.....its a familly hotel, and if ur to load at the wee morning with extra people in the room, dont get pissed if security kicks them all out and prob fine u guys.....so keep the music low and keep the screaming down after like 1am

my advice
