i dont think mtvu is worth the money, the 25ok could be spent on advertising through student groups or schools to bring more people to the area, or more events on the beach during the day. mtvu concerts were lame last year, not enough songs played by the artists and to be honest the sound quality sucked and the artists were just plain unimpressive.

Yeah, I guess I'd have to agree the quality has been on a steady decline. Last year I really did like Lupe Fiasco and Paramore although lip syncing Flo Rida was awful. I think they had Fall Out Boy & Rick Ross (who I like), but not during my week

I'm no travel agent so I can't really say what $250k would be better spent on, but I can say this: as a Hollywood club promoter out here if there's anything that attracts crowds its celebrities and concerts (not pretty pictures, competitions, not even really drink specials and discounts). Free stuff does a bit too, but not as much.

I mean c'mon...Daytona, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, South Padre, even Myrtle Beach all have just as many Spring Breakers and plenty of bars & clubs & nice beaches; gotta give people something crazy or different to entice them

They had to pass out cups to everyone, I thought that was funny. To not show beer cans on tv haha.

Paramore sounded decent, the rest was a waste in my opinion.

haha. I completly forgot about the cups. That was a huge joke. "We wont bring on the performers til you put your drinks in the cups." Who are they fooling by doing that?

I had a tiny bit in a cup, and a bag full of beer by my feet lol. That was so stupid, some girl was getting mad at us for not using the cup.
