Sandpiper Beacon March 14-22 anyone?

Just figured I'd post up and see if anyone's going to be at the Sandpiper this year at the same time as us. This will be our 3rd year at the piper and its never failed us before.

Not going to be there but would like to have your opinion on what you like there. Are there any great contests?

Yeah, every day they have a bikini and wet t-shirt contests and then have random contests everyday. Some are like push up contests, beer chugging, volleyball tournaments, random little games and stuff. The winners all get bar tabs which is always nice

I guess I have a thing for it considering we've been there a few years and all the bartenders, bouncers, and even the DJ love us.

Can non guests get in during the day to see the contests? Didn't someone get thrown of the balcony by a security guard there last year?

Yeah non-guests can get in just gotta walk in from the beach if I remember right. But yeah, that security guard was crazy. It was weird cause he actually chilled with us outside of our room a few days before that happened(saw his pic online after it happened). I hope that one incident doesn't drive people away from the place though. Everyone swarms to the places close to La Vela and stuff but are missing out at the Sandpiper

Did LaVela last year, and this. I will take a trip down your way this year, one day, based on your review.

That's cool. It's not as packed as those other places but it's still fun. At night it gets wild though.

My favorite part of the Sandpiper/Tiki Bar is the $75 all you can drink beer. Pay $75 up front and drink beer everyday as much as you want from 11am till like 1am.

The sandpiper is a fun place to stay. Just as fun as being around the "super clubs". I hate the hype those things create b/c it leads a lot of people to think that if they don't stay close to the super clubs then it won't be worth it, when the "super clubs" never even live up to all the hype, not even close to it.

Its the complete opposite end of the strip from where MTV will be. Don't let MTV make your SB...The Tiki Bar is a fun place to go. Better than some of the super clubs in my opinion.

Ehhh that wont be too much of a problem since i got my car....unless traffic sucks during the day (or night). I hate traffic. Let alone driving in an area i'm not too familiar with lol.

But is security at the Sandpiper strict? Do you and your guest have to wear wristbands? Would it be hard for me to sneak some people to my room? Do a lot of Spring breakers go there? If I cant get the Boardwalk, I'm thinkin about the Sandpiper as long as there's action in that area.

Security isn't strict at all! Lol they are about as lenient as the Chateau, which is a big party hotel. Traffic is bad day and night. But middle beach rd and back beach rd are easily accessible to bypass all the traffic and you won't get lost going those routes, I promise. And yea, a lot of spring breakers stay there. Spring Breakers stay all down the strip, everywhere. Some even stay away from the beach as dumb as it sounds.

I hate sounding like I work for the Sandpiper or something, but this place is well worth it and I wish more people would come down. Security is far from strict as long as you respect them. Hell, they love us and remember us every year.

But like the other person said, do not let MTV make you're spring break
