Six girls going to PCB for SB, over a year of talking about it, 3 months of hardcore planning and we have our first bail out. BOOO! I don't care if yout great grandmother is coming from Puerto Rico that week...honestly, in between her naps, meds and soaps is she even gonna notice if you're around?

Anyone else have lame people bailing in their group?

lawd yes! Except my friend's excuses are more lame than your friends. Basically...if the trip costs more than "FREE"...then they have excuses. wtf??

i've had friends bailing left and right, luckily, we pick up a new person almost everytime. but as the main planner, does cause a little bit of stress.

My solution is...I make sure it's something I can afford if I go by myself or not. If you can't go...oh well. I'm still going.

The bailer is my best friend (seriously, from 3rd grade) and she volunteered to still pay as this is 2 weeks before the money is due.

That, and she remembers what happened to the person who tried to bail last year...

Make them pay as soon as they say they are going. Tell them you need the money in a week or you're not going to count them in. Give them a date you're booking the room, and tell them you'll book based on how many have given you their money by that date. If they don't meet the deadline, the are SOL.

we had someone bail last year..1 is bound to drop every year...if she is still paying, then who cares if she goes or not?

I feel your pain dawn, 3 years ago I had 2 people bail out WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THERE! Still made them pay though. 2 years ago, i had 3 people bail on me. Suck being the main planner. Ever since i found TS I never had a problem. This year im coming down solo and meeting all my friends there!

Yea we had a few bailers every single year been somewhere. why agree when no intention to pay and go :\

The worst is the guy or guys that want to wait until the day OF to make up their mind if they're going or not. That drives me crazy as I like to have everything paid for and ready weeks in advance.

Or the person who is supposed to ask their parents if we can borrow the mini van so we can have enough space for 5 people and their bags but they keep putting you off with "yea that should be okay" not understanding that if we DON'T get the mini van 5 girls in a Honda Accord is going to be hell....OR that if we go with my plan B where one person flies down with 2 bags we need to buy a plane ticket NOW?!!? And that I'm not pestering you, we just REALLY need to know sooner than later...

We've had about 6 people bail out this year which pisses me off, but whatever. I'm glad everyone that's in my room is still going. Hopefully they don't back out.

Im telling ya, the best thing you can do is meet some solids off this site at the TS parties. Your worries of trying to get friends to go next year will be a problem of the past. Make good friends while down this year and you should be all set for next!

Every year I ask about 15 people if they want to go because I know people are gonna bail when it starts to get closer. I started making people give me $100 to hold a spot for them and if they changed their mind about going, even if it was the next day they were out their deposit
