Who thinks PCB is "cheap"?
I keep hearing that PCB is cheap...but maybe either I'M cheap...or I'm just not finding any good deals. I've never been able to find a room for less than $200/night (which is usually like a days inn) anywhere CLOSE to the action.
I remember one year I met a girl who stayed at Sunspree and she said they paid $300/night. That's not cheap to me. Maybe I've just never had the luxury of sharing a room with 6 people to get the room to "cheap" status. Flights to PCB...OUTRAGEOUS. I'm not so sure what's cheap about it. What did I miss? |

Why're you looking at flights? It's only a 12 hr road trip from STL, and that's a hell of a lot cheaper than flying.
I'm at Long Beach and it's not bad at all. But yeah, going down with a bunch of friends is the key. And I think the main reason Panama is considered "cheap" is because most people live close enough to drive. |

I'm coming with two other people, our final bill with tax was 987.50 / 3= 340 a person...not terribly cheap...but still cheap enough |

lol...i hear ya. If I make it...I will be driving. But what SUCKS about driving...is that drive home when you've been up ALLLLL night the night before. It would be SO much easier to hop on a plane and be home in a couple of hours. |

What site do you use? I always go through Expedia...and every room close to where I want to be is $200+/night.

Just a quick search on google brings up plenty. Try booking through the actual hotel website. Heck just pulled up two hotels (The Chateau and the Boardwalk Hotel) and they were both under $200...
You should def. use more than one travel website. Also VRBO |

Niceguy we found a lot of places from $550 (sunspree including taxes) to $975 (Longbeach Resort)
so between 2-3 peeople its a lot cheaper the $200 night :) Although i did notice Spring Break all hotels jack up prices 3-4x normal. |

Thanks for all the tips. I guess it pays to have at least 3 or 4 "non-broke" friends.
