Any thoughts on it? Benefits? Bad things about it?

Me and a couple of my friends stayed there last year. As far as the resort--it was decent. The security there kinda sucked; they got mad at us for having 5 in a room that should only have 4. The lady working at the desk really tried to contact the owner of our room and considered contacting the fire marshall to see what should be done when she couldn't reach the guy who was renting out to us. There also wasn't a lot of stuff going on there. With that said though, the location is great. We could walk to la vela and spinnakers whenever we wanted. Nobody was really capable of driving by mid day so that worked out nicely for us lol. There were also a lot of good parties going down at the Boardwalk which was also really close. I was down there the first week of March so a lot of places weren't that crazy so maybe this place would be better mid-march. It wasn't bad for what we paid. Being close to the clubs probably saved us a lot of money on cabs and all that.

Thanks CMorris...that's exactly what I wanted to hear. As long as I'm walking distance to the big clubs...I'm good. And if I remember correctly...that's where some of the beach stages are set up too...right?

i stayed at sunbird last year and this year ill be staying there as well. i love it. its really nice and in a good location. im renting from a private owner so it doesn't really matter if we have 5 instead of 4. the owner said she didnt care. bringing ppl up may be a problem after hours. they can be strict on wristbands. but if ur sneaky you can get around the security. i did last year :D lol

Yeah im sure we can find a way for you to sneak me up to your room....

i snuck into the summit last year.....all u gotta do is pretend u belong, walk up and say hi and keep walking

other alternative......go to walmart and buy the same color wrist band as the hotel or even something similiar to a wrist band.....they just really look at the color

we tried over and over last year to get ppl in and couldnt, then we started putting people in the trunk, but i even saw them make ppl open their trunks a few times

this is definitley not good news to hear we cancelled Long Beach and moved here cause the rate is dirt cheap and we had someone drop out of our group...i was under the impression to come in through the back and dont pass the desk or security and you're good or get a look alike wristband

that was referring to summit condos just in case you thought i meant sunbird

I've never stayed in a "condo" before. So are all of these units owned by individuals, or by "Sunbird"?
