We are looking for people 21 and over who are available to hit Panama City Beach, Florida the week of March 9th. An MTV camera crew will follow you every step of the way. Lakeland I appreciate you contributing. You are correct that mtvU will be down there as will MTV. The post above is for an MTV casting call. I'm not sure if you are privleged to be in the marketing or having to do with any contracts. I am... and yes everyone MTV will be in town, as will mtvU.

so will it be broadcast on MTV or MTVU. i think its pretty obvious that MTVU is a subsidy of MTV and of course there will be MTV employees there, but MTV wont be filming anything MTVU will. i may not know all the facts but i do know that i have seen student city use some really outrageous marketing schemes to lure people in, so they can take students hard earned money and offer little to nothing in return. it wouldnt suprise me in the least if there isnt any reality show casting, that is all

You can be the judge as far as to what StudentCity and MTV' involvement during Spring Break 2009. Cancun and Panama City Beach are going to be big... That's all I'm saying. Sorry you got to hate.

Student City- I believe that people on this forum believe that spring break should be fun and everyone should be having a good time (not having to pay such a high price, because of some dumbass in marketing deciding that it was a good idea to partner up with MTV). I believe that most people on here don’t agree with student city simply because of the high price of using your company. We all know that student city is a business and its sole goal is to make money. Furthermore about the whole MTV or MTVU I really don't think that MTV draws as many kids as MTV would lead you and your company to believe. Sure Spring Break with MTV was huge back in the days of Jerry Springer and nonstop coverage. But that type of Coverage by MTV or any other network owned by the parent company has seized to exist.

On a personal note- why would you come on to an open forum and flaunt what your credentials are? Not only do I find this rude and in a complete unprofessional manner, but I find it odd. I believe that Lakeland was simply stating his train of thought. I do not believe that he directed any personal attack toward you what so ever.


But enough of me trying to sound smart...

**** Student City for charging outrageous prices, kids should book with a normal hotel buy the party card and spend the saved money on beer or at a strip club...- Just my personal view

Gentleman... you are 2 guys that are angry for whatever reason. If you want to try and be bigger than you are go right ahead. It's a free society and you are allowed to speak as you wish.

It does seem like you guys are buddy buddies... and you are going to attack anyone that you want to. So be it.

I'm coming in here, and addressing my credentials... because I have them. In a forum don't you want to get the most accurate information from the most knowledgeable? I tend to think so. Not just 2 bit advice of an angry person that clearly doesn't have all his facts straight.

I'm not here to piss anyone off... and you two are the ones that want to talk negative about something that neither of you have done... that being the StudentCity experience.

I do want to say thank you though... as your repetitive arguments are actually making this thread stand out more. So as MTV has asked me to get the information out there for a show their casting for... you are helping it.

I'm not advertising StudentCity here... I'm providing information that MTV is casting for a show that they will be shooting down in PCB during Spring Break that will be airing on MTV.

I'm going to chime in because I actually went through student city 3 years ago. Most God awful experience ever.

We booked at the Sunspree for my first trip to PCB...and obviously I have never stayed there before that. I asked a rep from Student City if the room had a FULL kitchen with stove/microwave/supplies...the whole 9 yards. He also told me they had bunk beds and that every person (6) would have their own bed.

So we get into our room and its a small room with 2 beds and a microwave.


Just throwing that out there.
